u don't know why ? he just messed up our last summer transfer budget on players that we don't need and left us short of defenders and full backs thats why
I wouldn't say that - last summer there was a specific situation at club, we needed not expensive and risky signings due to insufficient number of players and lack of big money for transfers (imagine we have spent 27 million euro for a player, who became a flop in Serie A... It would be a financial disaster now), but rather cheap players, however of proven quality. So Tiago, who had a very good season at Lyon, and Almiron, also brilliant season at Empoli (in addition he's a player who played in Serie A for years) were chosen - and they definetly are players of proven quality, so it was a natural choice, of course not a transfer impact, but also movements on the market of the smallest risk. Not to mention Andrade and Iaquinta, similiar-type buyings. But who could presume Tiago and Almiron would become such mistakes? Secco did what he should, but these players didn't show the quality they presented in recent clubs. What I can say positive about Secco is also the way how quickly he reacts - Boumsong became a flop, is sold (could be sold in the summer, but he didn't wanted to leave Turin), Almiron became a flop - is loaned with an option to sell him, Tiago became a flop and would have been sold if he had accepted a move to Tottenham...
But he's of coure not an ideal sport director, for example the negotiations with Lyon in Boumsong case were scandalous in my opinion and there are undoubtly many other questions, such as Sissoko's price, which shouldn't be highet than 10 million euro.
And a word about "lack of creativity in the midfiled". Roma has a lot of creativity in the midfield. But ironically non-creative Juve is a club that scored more goals than the roman club so far this season. Though it's a pleasure to watch Roma's style of football, I prefer this lack of creativity and more goals.
