Worry not because...Diego Perotti è un calciatore argentino di origini italiane (Diego Perotti is an Argentianian footballer of Italian origin) :D

I don't buy this Italian thing that people say about Marotti, I only think he is an incapable sports director who does not know better.

please let's keep the national discussion behind us.. i really do rate Giovinco much more than Perotti but we did fuck up Giovinco so let's try with another player even though don't think this kid will explode. he is good player and that's it.

Yeah, we all want bale and messi, but now lets look at it from a realistic point of vew

1) stop linking ribery, nani and hazard. We cant pay nani wage, cant attract ribery, cant pay fee for hazard. we cant get them, peroid.

So lets see what we CAN actually get, and then there is a big empty space
How many leftwingers are over 15 mil that we can get and are actually worth their price ?

i consider that a pretty hard question. there are bastos, vargas. both are good, in a 4-4-2, less in a 4-3-3

now there is perotta.
2) Dont tell him to fuck off just because he is italian, when you havent even seen him play
He is and definitely better than what we got at LM/LW. I rate him at the same level as Bastos, though younger and more unproven. He's one of the reasons why former fan favourite Diego Capel wans't a certain starter last season in Sevilla.

He can also play on right wing, as a leftfooted midfielder going inside.
THIS, are very interesting points. If you are able to block a fan favorite, you arent a one day fly.

He has the characteristics we need on the leftwing, and will probably come at a bargain. since we got plenty of italian in the starting lineup, he should accomodate quite easely.

3) if he can be out lw/lm, we can get vucinic in a player swap deal, and get rossi, we can easely play both 4-4-2 and 4-3-3.

Please consider point 1, its hard to spot a left midfielder over 15 mil that is really worth it. but an italian blocking a fan favorite in spain...
nice credentials

I just want a good LW. I'd be happy to get this guy as well.

No more Marchisio mezz'ala bullshit. A pure LW or drop the 4-4-2 and go with a 4-3-3. Krasic needs someone else to supply crosses as well.

If people are referring to Perotti as 'an italian' they may as well refer to 2/3 of the total argie population as 'italians'...

I checked his stats for La Liga in the last two seasons

2009/10 - 4 goals 3 assists
2010-11 - 3 goals 6 assists

If I am not mistaken, Sevilla plays with the 4-4-2. Can he play in a 4-3-3?? Because his goal tally worries me quite a bit.
