Asamoah Gyan is not good enough to play for a top team, he isn't even a guaranteed starter at Rennes. Granted he was their top scorer last season and started a lot, but the only reason for that was because Briand was injured for a large part of the season which gave Gyan the chance to shine.

10M + Iaquinta would be great deal. Remember how Ale was when he was 31? In 2005. Remember how he still won the Capocannoniere three years later at 34? Forlan is one of the best players in the world and he & DP have many similar strenghts. Forlan would be great for us at least for a few years.

I don't agree that Forlan is not one of the best players in the world. Since he moved to Spain he's been one of the most consistent strikers in the world. His work rate is also something every player would be envious of, as we've seen in the World Cup.

Forlan is a great player.. But I'd rather focus on building up a better midfield and defense first.

Our forwards are ok as a group. They just need a midfield to supply them. Same goes to goalkeeping, we have a very good line of goalkeepers now, we just need the defense that will filter and block.

If after we fix those two lines we have extra cash, Forlan would be sweet buy
