Don't we get the same thing just be replacing Diego with Giovinco?

Anyway, my stance on this is that you don't say no to great players, no matter the system. I understand that CURRENTLY it will be a bit problematic to find a new winning formula and it may take some time for Diego to fit into our tactics, but we must think long-term.
The problem about Diego atm are Camoranesi and Nedved. If we get Diego now then one of them, or one of our attackers (Del Piero) will have to sit on the bench.
But Diego is 23 while Nedved is 36, Del Piero is 34 and Camoranesi is 32. Nedved will retire next year while Camo is versatile enough to fit into any other system (4-3-3, 4-3-1-2 etc). Plus, after a season or two Camoranesi and Del Piero probably won't be as good as they are now and the 4-4-2 may not work so well in 2010.
Good point...
We must look in to the future (long-term)...Juve has Chiellini (24), De Ceglie, (22) Sissoko (23), Marchisio (22) and Giovinco (21)..who all ready playing for Juve (now) and geting Diego would be good investment for the long-term...+ buy a young Defender (Zapata) and u got your self a team 4 the future...
I'm not saying that we should be like Arsenal - all young talented footballers...
We still got Poulson (28), Amauri (28), Tiago (27), IQ (29), Mellberg (31)...But like u said DP (34), Nedved (36), Legro (32), Camo (32), Zanetti (31) Treze (31)...They are our back-bone...and they aren't geting any younger...
My ponit is this, if Diego arrives, that would mean that our bord is thinking ahead (that would be a big surprise 4 me) and big + to Succko..:xmas:

Buffon

Grygera - Legro - Chiellini - Molinaro

Camo - Zanetti - Sissoko - Diego

Amauri - DP/Gio

My Juve of the future :jvefan:

Buffon

Grygera - Zapata - Chiellini - De Ceglie

Aquilani - Sissoko - Marchisio

Diego

Amauri - Gio

I think your future team looks pretty good apart from the fact that it has no width and I'm not too convinced about the quality of those fullbacks.

You mean the Drughis told Juventus board that we should sign Diego?.. Not making fun of you in any way.. but this seems a bit unrealistic for me.. and can I ask how do you know this?
u have them to thank for zlatan and vieira, thats why moggi was so well likened because he listened to the fans and was good enough to bring them, our squad was arguably the best on paper. unfortunatly this board is too impotent to even pull big deals now. its not unrealistic its how it works

one paper invents a rumour or mistranslates an interview and then it goes from tuttosport to channel4 to goal.com and finally to eurosport ...

as long as there is no statement when ranieri should have made those comments and what the actual question of the interviewer was, i will not believe such bullshit.

Screw that overrated Diego, we're linked to the great Savio of Brescia.

I saw this kid 2 times(was a sub), showed some nice moves but come on! Brescia are known to produce some nice talents but we should aim higher.

I felt like I had to mention it again. While others are linked to CR7...we're linked to Serie B players(Savio, that other guy...)

And you really think that in todays inflated market, Bremen would be willing to sell their most prized asset for 15M Euro's??
