if someone does say "fuck ranieri for not getting diego for 20m €" then this is pretty football managerish ;)
Kinda...but that was not the case.It was "fuck Ranieri for saying no for Diego".That's something else.

no one on earth said that diego could leave bremen and he has a contract until 2011
Top clubs want him for like 2 years. He won't stay for long.We already talked about it actually.

even if he was available no one ever said how much bremen do want for him, measuring him by some fm like comparisions are just childish, because we all know that the price paid is often pretty much away from what the expected transfer value of a player is.... just to mention two examples

van der vaart was thought to cost much more that real actually paid
robinho was surely rated lower that man city did overpay for him
It's not FM comparision yet again.Do you think no one knows players value expet the clubs?

I don't see how can that be example. We were ready to offer 17-18mln euros for Van der Vaart but Real signed him for 13 and sky-high wages?Or Robinho who signed for EPL club? They simply overpay for every player. But there was a time when we were linked with Robinho as Nedved's heir and they said they would consider 30mln+ offers. Those two are not examples...example is Pepe if you really want to talk like that.

secco has not enough power to decide what players to buy ... i am pretty sure he gets the parameters (allowed wages and transfer fee) by gigli or blanc, so if others just pay more than us, than you can not demand secco to suck the players cock just to make him join us.
You said

we should be cautious to blame people for mistakes where we do not have enough background information about...
we do not know what happens behind closed doors and what other factors do influence the outcome of those negotiations ...
And now you're talking about something that YOU do not know judging by your theory so keep that for yourself.

we may discuss over the obvious errors secco made if you like... perhaps you can name a few in detail.
I can...but I won't.It's an endless discussion.

Top clubs want him for like 2 years. He won't stay for long.We already talked about it actually.
but it does not matter what top clubs want. bremen considers itself as a german topclub and it is a new rule to me, that other top clubs can make you sell someone if you don't want to.

there are enough examples where topclubs wanted to sign a player but failed and failed, because the club just does not want to sell.

actually we are a good example, because our players got "offers" pretty often and we refuse to sell our good players like buffon and co.

why should bremen sell their best player... don't say that there is a difference because bremen is not a top club like us.

bremen is a german top club that is lower as us in the overall ranking (reputation wise).

but we are italian top club that is lower as the epl teams or real madrid that tempted our players and we did not sell too.

i hope you got my point. if the club does not want to sell, they wont and there is nothing you can do (except overpaying). only hope we have is that özil does mature pretty fast and can be a replacement for diego in bremen. then they will be willing to sell like they did with micould

It's not FM comparision yet again.Do you think no one knows players value expet the clubs?
but the player value is not off interest.

it is important how the owning club value the player and you wont get him cheaper.

so despite someone can read allows thoughts all speculation about 25 m or 15m € is useless.

and i give you another reason diego won't come (unless his personal situation changes).

he is said to be together with sarah connor (a german music starlet). she lives in delmenhorst what is about 10km from bremen.

here is a video link that shows them both kissing
http://www.rtl.de/exclusiv/exclusiv_972654.php
(i'm just posting it, because it is officially denied of both sarah and diego)

funny how every story that does involve diego and a potential move is being posted here, but when the player himself says he is absolutely happy and does not want to move everybody ignores it ....

must be really nice to live in the world of dreams

No need for insults, but he spews convenient nonsense then berates or generalises others for not "getting" that nonsense. Weird.

So Secco is really determined to sign Diego now. Looks like the solution is nearing at long last.

The next great Juventus in now only three more great players away and we should be Scudetto winners once again by 2010.

We won't sign Diego, as he is cup-tied. The stupid motherfuckers at the club should have thought of signing diego during the summer.
Our chances to be eliminated from Europe in March are huge. That's why it's silly not to sign someone only because he's cup tied.
Also, if there is an opportunity to sign a 23 year old, who's a great talent, it will be the most foolish thing miss it just because the guy won't be eligible to play in Europe for half season.

If Diego is THE replacement for Nedved (it doesn't matter that they don't play the same position) then it's clear that we will need him the most next year, not now when we still have Nedved. It would also give Neddy an opportunity to rest for the CL matches, while being replaced in serie A by another great player.

Milan did smthg similar when they bought Ronaldo who was also cup tied. Milan ended up winning the CL, while Ronaldo's goals in serie A helped them get the 4th place (which was important in case they didn't win the CL).
Also, having Ronaldo allowed Ancelotti to rest Inzaghi for the CL matches. As you know, a well rested Inzaghi brought Milan the win in the CL final.

Since you put it that way;) But we both agree a playmaker/creative midfielder is needed to be signed in Janaury, no?
