I dont get some people here

if we look at guiseppe rossi and david villa, apart from the clear diffrence in quality at their best periods of time, one thing is odd

guiseppe rossi, played very well before his injury, is just 25. people dont want to buy him because "he might not return to previous level of quality because of the injury" again he is just 25.

David Villa , beast of a player, thats however allready 30. had a long injury, and many striker jump to my mind that never even got close to their best form after that, especially considering the age. However, people find it totally fine to get him because they are certain he'll return to be a beast

double standards ?

I dont think villa will get anywere near his former peak. but well, people seemb to disagree.
And Drogba is 34, that kinda messes with your whole argument.

I was too young back then to have an opinion. How old are you?
27. been watching juve since 1995, CL on tv, serie a on VHS that someone made who had satellite.

i said it somewere else, that i normally wouldnt be for a drogba transfer, but because the fee is so low, it could turn out good

also, his physical appearence. he is the type that ages pretty good, so isnt "severely declining" at 34

He's not exactly Nedved, Giggs or Zanetti, those are players who age well. Wiry athletes. Drogba is 15 stone of muscle and that doesn't carry so well into football in your mid 30s.

If we're going to use him as some kind of 'special teams' player for the CL it's a different story, but the salary has to match the output for anyone.

indeed juvejay. he has no technique atletics to rely on. and then paying him 8m for 18 months of which he will be atleast 6 months not ready to play games or we don't play games. is very much bs from the media. no way marotta and co are seriously making such an offer to Drogba

We are talking about a forward here. Defenders and midfielders have a much higher chance to age well.

apart from diego forlan, i cant recall any attacker playing at such level beeing his age

but tell me, what fee/wage are we talking about, just to make certain we are looking at the same numbers

lol drogba has no technique to him? you've clearly never watched him play in your life why would you rule out Juve making a move for him? It is a viable option and it is clear we are interested since we made an offer in the summer and interested in testing the waters again for him in january. And i dont understand what you mean about not ready for 6 months out of 18?

Also even nedved was very crippled in his last years in Juventus, he stated a lot of times that his legs were bothering him in his last years..... but he was so badass that he could endure it a couple years for us.

How long would the loan be?
didnt say how long, but my guess is just this season

Would make sense, since we'd get Llorente according to every media, on a free then, who would replace drogba.

Would he even be ready to play in the round of 16 if Ivory Coast goes all the way in ACON?
ACON
ivory coast first fixture : 22 january
Tournament Final : 10 february

Championsleague
Ro16 first leg : 12-20 februari
Ro16 return leg : 5-13 march

At most we'd miss him 1 game
