Also his shooting accuracy and pass completion ratio is down, actually they are miles behind the much criticised Fernando Torres this season, for example. I don't have other stats to hand, but my initial point comes from general observation of him. Chelsea being poorer is one factor, but then you might say Chelsea are more attacking under Villas Boas so he could be better.

If we arent forced to sign a free old player like last year when our prima punta's failed(amauri/iaquinta) and quag got injured, leaving us with only del piero...
then we should simply not buy old past it players.
drogba is old, past it. him having an occasional good day tells nothing.

we got plenty of good enough attackers, plenty enough to have discuttions wether we should fielth del piero or quags more often, or have elia as third attacker.
