Have to agree about Tevez. Don't see why he would want to move here and suddenly NOT want to go home to his sweet Argentina. Tevez would be great if he wouldn't be homesick 20 hours a day and such a whiner.

Lol you think its bullshit to focus on that there is a difference between a world class player who is 27 goin on 28, is better long term option (besides playing better last seasons for sure) then one who is 33 and turning 34? There is a 6 years difference, and when the quality is the same or better for the younger one, then for sure it is something to point out.

While one can never be sure what will happen with a player as he gets older, Drogba is not showing major signs of deterioration at the moment.

Still capable of playing lots of games, still mobile, still bullying defenders and doesn't seem any more injury prone than at any other stage of his career.

I would consider it a relatively safe bet to base a team around Drogba for another 18 months at least.

Maybe so, but his stats are down and dropping from his peak 2.5 seasons ago, which is expected for a striker his age. Injuries are not the excuse, they are part of the issue.

Not that I would be against the move as he is still a monster, but it would have made more sense last January than this one.

It also means people shouldn't get on their soap box to complain about signing veteran players, if the argument goes out of the window because we come across one they like. It just strikes me more like a Milan market strategy, maybe we should concentrate on 1-1.5 season windows, rather than the 2-3 we are currently.

Can anyone tell me why Tevez would stop whining about going home if he came here? I haven't followed the whole story but as far as I know the only reason he wanted to leave shitty to begin with was that he wanted to move on home. If that is the case I don't see why he would rather be here. I wouldn't see that as a long term sollution if he came since he'd leave after the season anyway. Just goals and assists or other stats?

A drop in his goals/assists stats could probably be explained primarily by Chelsea not being as good a team as they used to be.
