certainly they are. We won 5-0 OK but 2 were headers, one a tap in after bad defending.

But Davids and Neddy goals were cool

not anwhere near as good as pablo aimar's V Liverpool, that goal was fantastic:thumb:

what we need to do to add depth in our midfield ?

playing tudor as a midfielder is tottaly crap .....

only zambrotta , davids , tacch , camo , nedved that i can say about them a starters but ........... with conte , baiocco , oliviera ( no body knows if he is good or not ) we still have the problem

maresca and brighi are needed immediatley

buying a players won't be good idea unless we get rid of one of those mentioned above so who do u think ?? baiocco ?

Here are all the midfield players we have according to the official Juve site:

CENTROCAMPISTI
3 Alessio Tacchinardi
8 Antonio Conte
11 Pavel Nedved
16 Mauro Camoranesi
19 Gianluca Zambrotta
20 Davide Baiocco
23 Ruben Olivera
26 Edgar Davids

That's not enough players to start with. If we're then going to discuss the quality of the players it gets even more depressing....

Nedved, Camoranesi and last but not least Davids are the only real stars on our midfield.
Zambrotta is good but injured.
Tacchinardi and Olivera are acceptable but not good enough to start every match (certainly not important ones).
Conte is old and is an excellent substitute but he can't be expected to play often.
Baiocco - never understood why we even bought him. Good enough for mid-table teams perhaps but not our Juve!

With Brighi and Maresca loaned out or on co-ownership they cannot be of immediate assistance to us! Both players are away for at least a year if I remember correctly and in the meantime we're struggling in the Champions League and we're on 5th place in La Serie A. Simply not good enough for a team like Juventus yet our defence is solid and our strike force is holding up well and will be good enough when Trezeguet returns.

That leaves the midfield as the real problem

From the youth team, available are:

Marco Brighi
Viktor Boudianski (Ukraine)
Gerardo Clemente
Carlos Elliot (Brasile)
Simone Fumasoli
Matteo Paro
Alex Pederzoli
Luca Scicchitano
Ilyas Zeytulaev (Uzbekistan)

Does anyone have more info on these guys? Are they good enough to help our midfield out?

I don't think juve ever has a decent youth system. we get the players because a lot of players want to play in juventus (we lucky we are that popular). i don't remember a star in our team that started his career in our youth system! thats a problem, and if you add to that the problem in first team midfield so the solution is to buy a creative midfielder that fit our standards

We have Gasbarroni, who is half owned I believe with Sampdoria (that means nothing, when we want him back, we will get him back) he's been playing fantastically well for them and Italy U-21.

They've been playing him on the right hand side of midfield, he's one hell of a prospect, the closest we've had to a new Del Piero, skill wise.

No, the U-21 team aren't all that bad. The current crop of youngsters are all new. We were beaten easily by Germany but since then the team has been jelling together and have won all their games. Trust me Gasbarroni WILL be a great player.

I've heard great things about gasbarroni. On xtratime I think it was wither a roma or milan fan who was literally singing his praises..so this guy MUST be good!

I'm sure he's already better than baiocco, conte, tacchinardi, anyway

And when are we gonna play this oliveira guy? come on lippi, give him a chance!!

notice that both sorin and henry are doing great now. top players.....

imagine if we'd loaned him out to arsenal, and he'd like scored his 24 goals, and theyd want to buy him for 25 million quid!!

we could use that to finance our weakling-defence!!!
