Delle Alpi to be restructured (7 Viewers)

Which option for the delle Alpi: Restore or Rebuild?

  • Restore = Pisanu/UEFA compliance, 50k seats, same structure, same stands-to-pitch gap

  • Rebuild = 40k seats for brand-spanking new park socking us into debt. (Costs 10x+ more than Restore)

Current sponsorship deals Juve has aren't that bad. You have to be realistic

Yeah but I'm betting it's not in the very heart of Istanbul, is it?

You have some pictures of that stadium? A link?
what is current sponsorship except nike?

tamoil is over

about Galatasaray's new stadium, you are right its not in very heart of Istanbul but at least first quality

if Torino's peoples leave us alone,we must consider move to another city,we could sell Delle Alpi to goverment and they could give us free ground for new stadium

I think a new stadium would improve our attendance. If we build a stadium like in Hamburg it would be great. 40.000 to 50.000 seats are enough. I know other clubs build 60.000+ stadiums but I prefer smaller stadiums. the atmosphere is much better there. I think that more spectators will come if we have a new stadium that is more comfortable.

I totally agree. The truth is Juventus still play in torino because of the close relationship with FIAT. Juve has more fans in the south than in torino. and also in lombardia. even when milan and inter are strong, in the towns there are as much juve fans than inter and milan´s. In fact in torino there are more Torino´s fans than juventus.
This is so truth that when we were in seria A when we had to play in cities of the south like Reggina, or in Sicily we were locals, more locals than in Torino where the stadium is always half full.
In Calabria and in Sicily there are a passion for juve that doesnt exist anywhere else in Italy. The provinces are full of juventus fan clubs.

In fact Gianni Agnelli himself said more than one time that because of the half empty stadiums in torino he was thinking of moving juve to the south.

The thing is juventus is not only the most popular team in Italy, juve has fans all over the country, and that is a huge honor that I think most of the time the management ignore.

If they where to move the team out of turin imagine what a uproar that would be. You never see teams just uproat and move to a different part of the country in Italy. That's something that happens a lot here in the states though, but attendence would increase for Juve in turin everybody's a Torino fan.

We are not in the unites states that teams just change the city. just think about what the ultras would say if the team they support every week will be transformed to sicily hundreds of kilometres away. we should build a new stadium that is great for watching football and comfortable and try to attract more spectators in turin. when the delle alpi was now we had 40.000-50.000 spectators every match for a few seasons. we have to get this supporters back.

Tomorrow, 5th of February is the meeting of the Juve's board of directors, and it maybe crucial to tell the future plans for the stadium...

We have to put a specific plan to construct a new satdium.

1) Finding new sponsor.

2) Reconsider an appropriate plan that don't contradict financially with rebuilding the team.

3) Finding a proper place not far and not near Turin's downtown.

4) Reaching an agreement with the sponsor about building the new stadium.

find sponsor like arsenal's emirates

even Galatasaray found a new sponsor for new stadium like Amsterdam Arena
Sponsorship such Emirates will be nice, but the matter of fact is they only take relatively small part of the investment strategy. In essence, in way or the other, if we are to rebuild the stadium then we will have to assume the risks by ourselves. This means less money for transfer budget, which BTW, is happening with Arsenal.

You know that Arsenal is quite heavily in debt? Their debt is only managable because they are doing well in Europe and developing youngsters at a rate only matched by Ajax in mid 90s.

My guess is that the best solution will be the one that looks for cheap restructuring of the present building whilst leaving the main structure unchanged. The stadium doesnt seem too old itself, but probably not ideal for watching a game of soccer. We do need to make a stands closer to the stadium, but given the design of Stadio Delle Alpi, it will probably cost quite a bit too. But nonetheless, I dont see the need for new flashy building such Allainz Staidum for Bayern.

Which is y getting Euro 2012 would be nice, because than the government would chip in alot of money into stadium development across Italy.

Juve are better of staying as it is (whether that means playing in the Delle Alpi or Olimpico), than biting off more than they can chew and going into debt. As u said, Aresenal are in debt, and if they slip up in Europe, it will cost them big time.

And 5) Building a stadium that will be capable of dealing with identifying & catching hooligans easily.

Man, I love pungee pits...maybe once they fall down, they can cut off their heads and put them all the way around the stadium to fend off any other rival supporters. That's what the Roman's did for those who broke the law.
