Justified his price tag? Sure, if we'd paid 20 million for him, not 40+

He looks an interesting prospect, but that's all it is at this point.

I say calm your tits and temper this excitement - that way, if he fails, you won't be disappointed.
We paid 35m for him, not 40+.

If he ends up triggering the bonuses in the future, that means he'll have done well, and that can only be good news.

Reminds me of when you guys add an extra year to a player's age to make a transfer seem worse lol.

It's easy to compare them, both left footed, move around in a similar way. Berna has a nice playing style IMO but he lacks good decision making, hold on to the ball for to long often, get the final pass wrong, finishing not goos enought many times. Yesterday he had a good game.

More of a mentality problem IMO if Kulusevski is better in his decisions and has better mentality he can become great, even if he reminds some of Berna in playing style.
He’s also better in passing and positioning. His passing is quite impressive actually, he’s left footed but also gives them passes with his right foot, Bernardeschi doesn’t do that.

They’re comparable tho.

We're paying for potential with Kulusevski, and if the amount is a bit more because of other interest then so be it.

It's easy to be a sporting director in hindsight, but all transfers are a risk. We have to hope Kulusevski has the mental strength and luck with injuries to succeed.

Personally I'd rather we went around Europe paying €30m+ for 19 year old's than established free agent players on astronomical wages. At least the club is now showing a plan for the future.

This summer we signed De Ligt (19), Demiral (21), Romero (21) and Pellegrini (20) for a combined €140m book value, so we should expect more in future. We have to pay that bit more and run that risk with potential so that further down the line we don't have to pay €80m or so for a player. Isn't the dream of the club to sign the next Ronaldo before he is established?

I personally find it crazy how a player after 20 matches for Parma gets 40mln + price tag.

But yeah, he does seem like an exciting transfer, I'll give him that. Unlike Arthur rumour.
We did the same with Dybala, he had half a season of serie a at Palermo and we paid almost 40m. Then he was poor for the second half of the season. Turned out great for us, so it could be similar.

Before we signed him, they were complaining that inte* was beating our inept mgmt to him. Now they complain bc said mgmt signed him. You just can't win with this bunch.

Well its more like around 30 is mill after muratore's move to atalanta.
Which muratore? Acc to transfermarkt Simone is still owned by us.

If this is true, lol at increasing Kulu's transfer fee by 33% in order to complain.

This kid has the potential to be an absolute star. Most of you were upset not because we got him, but we couldn't have him in January

Fabio knows talent. That was his position when Beppe was here. Find the talents, and Beppe worked on signing them. He most likely doesn't have the financial acumen that Beppe does, but few people in that position do. There was a reason why Beppe would hold seminars on the economics of football when he was here. Fabio has to grow into that part, but he does have an eye for talent.

Who were you quoting? If it was an OG Sarriboi, you just gotta remember who they brought their kneepads out for and giggle for a few seconds.
A tweet from Matteo Bonetti about Kulu

The internet seems to make some folks here on Tuz feel much tougher and more clever than they really are

so you even took the time to look it up, got your obvious answer and still asked.

no genius, we're selling an other muratore. one that we don't own.

lol
It was between badass making it up (like his spurs game travels) and transfermarkt not listing a deal for youngster/it being a gentleman's agreement that'll get activated later or something. Latter isn't exactly something new, butthurt sir Isaac.

Either is possible.

Either is possible.
or a third, most realistic option: market rumor unrelated to the kulusevski case, which is not made up by badass, and not listed on tm before official confirmation

thank god as a soccer fan you're part of the smarter populace and you're able to consider casual scenarios too

Rabiot and Ramsey ?

both are bad financially and football wise ...

maybe Rabiot could rise a bit up but Ramsey is a hopeless case, he is Costa V.2 and many know that Ramsey is an injury-prone ...we should avoided this signing

But I agree about the new talents eye-catching of his ..

Atalanta scouts deserve the praise though, we bought him when he already had an impressive goals + assists record in the league.
