Milan is the best counter-attacking team in Italy, but they struggle when they play against 8 men behind the ball.
That's our only chance i'm afraid. We need to play as more negative as possible.
If we play the offside trap on Inzaghi and if we give much space to Kaka and Pato, we're as good as done. On top of it, Milan are in great form, and we can't play open football against them at this moment.

We don't have Sissoko to bully them in midfield as we did in December. We have no-one to protect the defense the way Sissoko was doing. It will be suicidal not to play defensively.

We've had defensive problems in the past too, with latest example the 03-04 season.
The difference back then was that we knew that in the next season we'd be much better.
We were absolutely sure, that we would solve these problems, and be ready to compete for the title the next season.

Right now, I can not say that i'm sure that we'll solve our problems for next year.
Cannavaro won't add much in the team apart from teaching the youngsters.
We surely need 2 good full backs and one new stopper...

Maybe, but I don't think we have anything to lose anymore. If we play for a draw, we probably won't get it, our defense is bound to fuck up somehow and concede. I believe we will lose this game, even if we defend with 10 men, so we might as well make it a little entertaining and try to get a goal at least.

We need to sort out why we concede so many goals on counter-attacks, when you think back it is unbelievable how many goals we concede in that way!

Is it because we over-commit on attacks because we struggle to break teams down? Is it the wing-backs not getting back in time? Is it the midfield not tracking the runs of opposition midfielders? Are we not committed enough to making early tackles before opposition moves develop? Do we lack speed/fitness to get back?

I think it is combination of a lack of pace in midfield, lack of ability from the defenders and the stupidly high line we are still playing that is causing the problems.

The fact that the players have zero confidence right now just makes things worse.

Right now, the only quick fix for our defensive lapses is Sissoko,
when is he coming back??

As for the nest season, we must finally decide that it is time to solve this chronic issue!!
It is our priority we ignore for 3 years, we cannot ignore it anymore!

yes we have something to lose still...and thats the CL spot.
How things are going right now... sad to say this,.... but we are destined to get kicked out of the CL spots..... so lets better to at least try to get a draw....which still seems highly impossible.

Dont think about formations and tactis here guys....our morale is on the floor...we dont have what it is needed to stop milan now.....we surely need some winning mentality here more thana nything ewlse to win this game.

God help us.

Chiellini is a very good CB and should not move to LB.

CBs do not need to be young, fast and strong to be very good.

We need a great CB such as Zapata. Cannavaro is old and we know how he has performed in La Liga, so we can't depend on him too much. Cristico would also be an alternative, but he didn't make it last time he was at Juve so I'm not sure if he will up his game this time. We obviously also need a LB/RB, but I see the RB position to be more important to improve since Grygera seems to be too unreliable.

I was looking at old Juve line ups and can't believe how pathetic our players (mostly defenders) are compared to the good old times. We really need to have higher standards. What happend to the Italian mentality of "building from the defence and up"? heh

hasn't been working lately, especially in Europe
Do you mean building the team from the defence? Well, maybe not as much as before, but I still believe it's the most important position and many of the top CL teams have solid defence.

Since we have a good pair of strikers and a mediocre midfield, we still need to strenght our defence up the most since that's obviously our biggest problem for the past 2 years.

We bought Andrade for quality and Criscito for potential but Andrade never recovered from his injuries and we sent Criscito away on loan. Grygera was good in internationals but couldn't replicate that form for us. We also had more efficient and it seems, important spots, to cover up first last June.
