Is there any way Beppe can strike a deal now for Dzeko to join us at the start of next season?
Sure, but why not keep Trezeguet a further year then? He's only got one more year left on this contract, will we go bankrupt if we let him finish it? Who knows, he just might score a shitload of goals. Then we can make him a new, lesser contract as a squad player. But if he doesn't at least we can give him a proper send-off. But no, let's ship him off few days before the end of transfer window, even though we were assured by Del Neri that he will stay.

Makes me sick.

Great player and legend....but we need to get him off the wage bill and get a younger model.

As for Benzema is this the same Benzema that did nothing at Real Madrid last year, again if we get him in it should only be on a loan agreement with option to buy.

Although it hurts, we need younger players (not saying it should be Pazzini), Amauri and Iaquinta seems to attract less attention (no wonder) so a sell of Trez is logical.

Hope he does well, and I hope we will see him back after his career

Doesn't that article talk about a possible loan to Lazio, where we pay part of Trez's wages as well? I wonder how much we'll end up saving.

We do need to get younger up front, and if this had been done properly, earlier in the mercato with Trez having an opportunity to say goodbye to the fans, it would have made it easier.

When you tack on the fact that we're potentially not receiving any money in return, and still paying part of his salary, it leaves a whole lot of question marks up front, and a sour taste in my mouth. Especially because it sounds like we could officially lose Diego today as well... those two in a 24 hour period would be a bit hard on the ole heart.

So we're not only losing Diego, probably our only creative player, but also this guy? And for who, freakin Pazzo, Burdisso and Capdevilla :sergio:

It looks like we've one fucked up season ahead of us gentlemen, so fucked up that our last one would look like a freakin accomplishment.

True that, but do you really see Trez joining another Italian club?

I think/hope he'll go to Spain or France.

I don't know... I think at this point, he's probably pretty pissed. He was ready to leave, then GDN/Marotta convinced him to stay, after which GDN didn't play him much, or with the first team at all... I just don't know.

It wouldn't shock me if he stayed in Italy. It would be brutal to watch, though.

Hopefully Lazio doesn't call, and he goes abroad.
