Trez agent: 'Lazio have until midday'
David Trezeguet’s agent confirms he will wait until this afternoon for Lazio before signing for Hercules. “The rapport with Juventus is finished.”
The striker was left out of Juve’s squad for the Europa League play-off against Sturm Graz this evening, as Coach Gigi Del Neri explained he “had some decisions to make.”
It seems clear that Trez has played his last game for the Bianconeri, but he has offers from numerous sources.
“We’ll wait for Claudio Lotito until midday on Thursday. If it’s meant to be, then it will happen,” said agent Antonio Caliendo on lalaziosiamonoi.it.
Lazio had been targeting Manchester City’s Roque Santa Cruz, but Trezeguet would be available on loan with Juve willing to pay part of his wages.
“I haven’t heard from Lotito in over 48 hours. We are prepared to wait a few hours longer, but no more, as the Spanish side Hercules are expecting our response.
“There will be an important meeting at midday. If we don’t hear from Lazio, it means the move will not go through.
“I can say for certain there will be no problems with Juventus. That rapport is finished.”
Trezeguet also had offers from the Premier League, but is eager to join Hercules because his wife is from Alicante, the town that hosts the newly-promoted Liga club.
