I was wondering would there be individuals to criticise Trez after last night's defeat. Yes, with Amauri things would have ended differently, we probably wouldn't have conceded those goals. 
You may prefer him as the lone striker, I don't. He is more useful overall but with Camo, Diego, Giovinco behind, I'd take a poacher ahead of him any time. If Trez played the full match against Sampdoria I'm certain he'd score just as much, perhaps more than Amauri. The team was simply clicking that night and were unstoppable. Against Napoli we lacked Sissoko and we lacked Camoranesi for practically the whole match, which makes a world of difference to our team play.
I appreiate Amauri, I do and I don't bash him at all, but when it comes to Trez vs Amauri, I feel the former is much underrated and the latter overrated.
My only problem with Trezeguet is that by now he should learn how to hold up and control the ball, these simple things he should know by now after playing for so many years with the likes of Zidane, Del Piero, Nedved and many others.

Trezeguet has never, nor will he ever hold up the ball. It doesn't matter who he played with or will play with, it will never happen. Trezeguet when recieves the ball, passes it to the nearest teammate. That's it. It's like asking Buffon to practice through balls, it's pointless. He's the dying breed of strikers.

Sadly indeed. Football has changed and still changing, and unfortunately it requires a lot from strikers - to hold up the ball open space for teammates and not to pass the ball as soon as he receives it if his mate isn't well placed and marked etc...
Personally, I think David is capable of holding the ball, controlling it when needed but he doesn't like it, I've seen few moves of him outside the box which I'm convinced that he's capable of doing more than just scoring inside the penalty area but he's not into it.
Anyway for the formation we are using or playing right now, Amauri fits more, but the moment Del Piero is back(which is very soon), I want the old partnership.

He used to be a talented player who could make things happen. Now, without a coach that would steer us properly he's suddenly become the decider in so many ways. He's become more like Zidane
