All I know and care is he helped Chellini score (although it was disallowed), and scored 1 for himself within the 5 minutes he came on. Not to mention it was his 3rd/4th match appearance since like 1 year.

Oh and Del Piero is coming back soon, it's only going to get better. Anyone remember all the goals Del Piero and that French dude scored?

So first we had to endure everyone saying Trez is finished and he'd never score goals again. Elvin even bet his house that he wouldn't score more than 3 (he's halfway there already). Now that he has begun doing that, he's just not playing well at all. I suppose once his form improves from the match practice and his confidence from the goals, he still won't be anywhere near some people's standards for a whole host of brand new reasons.

And of course there is no agenda whatsoever behind this is there. Oh, except for calling out for him to be sold, haven't seen those posts this week. And these people have nothing but love for Trez, that much they reiterate. Right.

A new and completely unproven player would get less of a beating than Trez does right now. And yet it doesn't change the fact that he's the top scoring active striker in Serie A history on goals-per-game. And you're talking about playing in 10. Yes, well you know what, I have nothing against that when the 11th one is of the scoring caliber that Trez is. I gladly sacrifice some of that running around you like so much for some extra scoring. And so does Trez, which is why all his life he's focused all his attention on this activity. So that you can say one of the top strikers in Juve history (and Serie A history) just isn't really cutting it.

And do you know what? If I had the choice to be Trez or Amauri, do you know whom I'd pick? Trez.
Damn, and here I started multiquoting a bunch of nonsensical posts, figuring I have a lot of stuff to say and you put it all in a bombshell like this. The bolded part is just so right on the money. Why the heck do we have Melo, Poulsen, Sissoko, Marchisio if Amauri needs to do the running. Screw running, this ain't the Golden League.

And somebody said will Iaquinta and Trezeguet work and in my honest opinion is, no, they won't. Iaquinta is obviously on fire and must play, but he doesn't suit Trezeguet at all. Iaquinta when with the ball at his feet sees nothing but the back of the net, he starts running at the goal and very rarely passes, he wants to do it on his own. Just yesterday he has a couple of chances where he could have passed to Amauri and he didn't, just like he won't pass to Trez. Still Amauri is clearly off form and will only get more frustrated and Trez has earned to start a couple of games ahead of him.

How to incorporate Trez and Iaquinta is up to Ciro, perhaps a 4-3-3 with Iaquinta and Giovinco supporting Trez, but I would like nothing more than to see Diego back and behind DP and Trez for a couple of games, that would be magic.

the problem with vinny is that he doesn't look to pass for an easy goal when he's has the ball at his feet in the box. there have been numerous times where he could have slipped it across to a teammate but i guess he suffers from tunnelvision in those situations.

i can't complain when he scores but sometimes a little slip to a teammate wouldn't hurt our cause

Exactly what I tried to say yesterday, Amauri is not adding anything the midfielders are not doing. His input is already covered and what he does is becoming redundant. His job is to score or assist others and he is not doing that.
