Barça resurrect Trez dream
Thursday 24 July, 2008
Barcelona haven’t given up in their efforts to lure David Trezeguet from Juventus and are set to up their bid, according to Italian Press sources.

French ace Trezeguet had been in the Blaugrana’s sights earlier in the summer, but Juve rebuffed the Spanish giants’ advances.

It seemed that the saga would end there, but there are whispers that the Catalan outfit are preparing a bigger offer.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Barça have around £19m ready and plan to approach the Bianconeri in the coming weeks.

Juventus are keen to keep Trez, in spite of the arrival of former Palermo hitman Amauri, but it has been suggested that the Frenchman isn’t entirely happy in Turin.

Trez was reportedly angry at not starting yesterday’s friendly against Brondby and is said to fear for his chances of securing extended playing time in the coming campaign.

Azzurrini marksman Raffaele Palladino has already fled Turin for Genoa in a co-ownership agreement.

i'm going to give our board the benefit of the doubt on this one and say they aren't foolish enough to sell trez for many reasons, primarily being that we NEED him in the CL. Teams dread defending against finishers like him and they know that he is the most dangerous man for juve when he is on the field.

Trust me when I say that I would love to see the hunter come here, even last off season he was the buzz around here but since we signed amauri its not feasible or logical to spend big money on another killer. If we were to sell trez then we should use that money on 2 solid defenders that we could insert into our lineup immediately. Buying another forward just doesn't make sense since we still have ADP, Iaquinta, Gio and Amauri.

but the bottom line is that i don't want to see trez being sold to anyone

ROFL,leave that argument already, why sign Ibrahimovic he wasen't proven in Italy, why did Milan sign Ronaldinho he isen't proven in Italy.

The list can go on and on dude.
But we already have one of the best in what he does, why sell him and take a risk that could ruin our whole campaign, when we signed Ibra we already had Trezegol and DelPie, and he wasn't as expensive as Hunter will be....
And Ronaldinho's deal is the biggest gamble of this season's transfers, if he performs Galiani will gloat about it, if he doesn't Berlu is there to cover the losses
