Sorry, I think I couldn't really say what I was thinking. Trezeguet`s facts speak for him. He is a top class finisher. But if you look at how France plays football, I really think that skillfull and quick strikers fit their game more then an "in the box" waiting Trez. Be honest: When has Trezeguet really played outstanding for France. I was more impressed by Anelka, while I think that Benzema is the new French number one striker.

I don't hate Trezeguet. This guy is a Juve legend. How could I hate him? But I think his time is nearly over.... At least in the French national team.

thats true but Domenech is overlooking a world class talent and not giving him a bench space and a few minutes to prove himself.

Domenech is not taking a chance because when(not if) trezi scores there will be heaps of pressure on him to give him more time and more questions will be raised.

What he doesn't know is that he is simply limiting his options, he could have strikers with different characteristics but instead hes choosing the opposite.

He should just retire the French NT and concentrate on Juve.
I actually dont want Trez to retire from France NT, the international game would loose one of their most effective strikers & like it or not EURO2008 will be more interesting with him than without him..

well until Dom, Henry+Trez were the permanent fixture in the starting lineup...the new Coach has done the opposite and made the French into a boring team even with the likes of Ribery, Malouda Nasri etc etc...and even in the WC, the only match where France looked terrific in going forward was against Angola, when Trez was playing alongside Henry

Domenech Tells Players To Go Nightclubbing France Coach

Raymond Domenech has told his players that he does not want them watching Scotland vs Italy on Saturday and would rather they go nightclubbing.
Domenech Tells Players To Go Nightclubbing

The eccentric boss has angered much of the football community, particularly those in Italy, with a string of controversial comments and actions over the past couple of years.

His French team are currently top of Group B and would qualify for Euro 2008 if Italy win in Glasgow. However a draw or Scotland victory would mean that Les Bleus would have to avoid defeat in next Wednesday’s match in Ukraine to book their place at next summer’s finals.

"I don't want to hear about this match in Scotland," Domenech shrugged at France's training camp.

“I don’t want my players watching the game either – I would prefer if they go out to a nightclub or played cards, and only found out about the result the following morning.

“Indeed I may short-circuit all the television sets at Clairefontaine.”

Before their match with Ukraine, France have a friendly with Morocco this Friday.

"Some players have played more, others less," Domenech said. "The game will serve as a check to see who will be operational on Wednesday. I want everyone to be available

Scoring 2 hattricks against crap teams, lets not forget this....
1- He scored 11 goals only taking one penalty

2- Trez is a limited striker. He can't dribble for shit and he can' take the ball and create chances for himself. He has to rely on others to give him service. We've seen how shit we are this season when it comes to providing service, yet Trez still manages to score 11 goals. If we actually had a bit of creativity in the team then I would dare say Trez could have bagged another 5 goals by now..maybe even more.

3- crap teams? And the likes of Benzema, Totti, Henry, Drogba, Ibra...etc play against world class teams week in and week out right?

that is where you lost the argument. trez is an impact player, whether or not he touches the ball or the ball is being played to him, no matter if he get no touches or 15 touches he is still a threat. what tops it off are his stats. if you double/triple team jordan of course some one else is gonna have to score for you ;)

Its not like he will put 3 past Inter, he isn't superman.

If Trezeguet doesn't touch the ball for 15 minutes, he is still a threat. Defenders think that they have him covered and the next thing they see is him celebrating a goal he has scored..
