I don't care who the top 5 players in the world are. All I ask from Trez is that he puts the ball in the net and that is what he has done marvellously this season. Goals are the most important things in matches, not being able to dribble past 3 players.
Ok .. that's all I ask from Tezeguet too . Where's the problem ?

I never wanted any thing else from him , I just said he was a one dimensional player which you seem to agree upon so my job here is done .

No, you were taking credit away from what he has done this season for us saying he isn't consistent. And where in that paragraph did I say that Trez was one dimensional :shifty: I said he scores goals like a striker should, which is what I want.

I all ready said that consistency was not the accurate word here .
You said you just want him to score goals . that's all he could and has to do .
So basically , you admit he's one dimensional . You don't?

"All I want from Trez is that he puts the ball in the net and that is what he has done marvellously this season."

And now you're claiming I said that's all he can do. I never said he was one dimensional mate.

I don´t know about you guys but Trezeguet is pretty consistent to me this season. In a few matches he didn˙t score he was looking pretty good to me. Better than the previous seasons. Now I can admit he was very incosistent last season where he struggled in many matches but that is not the case anymore. He reached his peak now, it seems. I think we can expect many more goals from him this season.

Agreed. But we do have some undoubted quality in there. Chiellini, Andrade (when fit), Nocerino, Nedved, Ale, Iaquinta.

Legro, Palla & Zanetti all doing ok. Sadly Juve need better than ok.

So we have the leading goal scorer & the worlds greatest ever keeper, think we should walk it then! :smoke:
You're forgeting the moRATti paid referees!

:agree: We need a real clean up of calcio that permanently bans moRATti and his criminal cronies from calcio and relegates inter to C2. If they ever get back to serie A, it would be interesting to see how the refs treat them. As biased as they are against Juve? I don't think so.

Trezeguet left out of France squad again

PARIS, Nov 8 (Reuters) - France coach Raymond Domenech has omitted striker David Trezeguet from his 24-man squad for this month's Euro 2008 Group B qualifier in Ukraine.

Trezeguet, who has scored 10 goals in 11 Serie A matches for Juventus this season, has not featured for France since a 1-0 home defeat by Scotland in a Euro qualifier in September.

"He's made a bright start to the season. He is good," Domenech told a news conference. "But there is a lot of competition (to make the squad). However, the Euro finals are in eight months and we can still discuss things again.

"I hope he will keep going like this and that he will be at the Euro finals with us," he added.

Olympique Marseille midfielder Samir Nasri, who also played his last France game against Scotland, has recovered from a virus and is back in the squad that will host Morocco in a friendly on Nov. 16 five days before the match in Kiev.

Olympique Lyon centre back Sebastien Squillaci has also returned at the expense of AS Roma's Philippe Mexes.

World Cup finalists France need a draw in Ukraine to reach next year's European Championship finals, although they will qualify four days earlier if Italy win away to Scotland.

However, Domenech said France had to prepare for the Ukraine match without worrying about Italy's result.

"The other game (Scotland v Italy) does not exist. It is not our problem," he said. "We must not be trapped in waiting for the result of this game to get ready for our match."

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Sebastien Frey (Fiorentina), Mickael Landreau (Paris St Germain), Ulrich Rame (Girondins Bordeaux)

Defenders: Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Sebastien Squillaci (Olympique Lyon), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), William Gallas (Arsenal), Francois Clerc (Olympique Lyon), Bakary Sagna (Arsenal), Lilian Thuram (Barcelona)

Midfielders: Alou Diarra (Girondins Bordeaux), Lassana Diarra (Arsenal), Mathieu Flamini (Arsenal), Claude Makelele (Chelsea), Jerome Rothen (Paris St Germain), Jeremy Toulalan (Olympique Lyon), Samir Nasri (Olympique Marseille)

Forwards: Nicolas Anelka (Bolton Wanderers), Karim Benzema (Olympique Lyon), Sidney Govou (Olympique Lyon), Thierry Henry (Barcelona), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich), Hatem Ben Arfa (Olympique Lyon) (Writing by Julien Pretot; Editing by Ken Ferris)

when they don't qualify for Euro is when he'll get sacked, and it'll obviously be too late. the french media will blame him for not picking trez when they fail to put away numerous chances, but it will be too late. it's unfornuate though, this probably trez' last chance at a major international tournament.
