The Juventus striker believes that 7 years with the Old Lady might be too many and has not yet discussed a renewal with the Bianconeri.
David Trezeguet was one of those players who ended up remaining at Juventus in Serie B. Now after seven years in Turin, the French player is unsure whether to remain at the club or move somewhere else, with the various Manchester United, Lyon and Milan all interested in acquiring him.
"Seven years at Juve are a lot and for certain verses also a reason of pride. I'm not talking about the renewal or future with the Juventus directors, these are premature talks."
Trezegol is worried that there is too much confidence of a Juventus quick return to Serie A.

Cappello calcato sulla testa, sorriso sbrigativo, David Trezeguet ha deciso di prendersi tutto il tempo che occorre. «Ho avuto fretta di tornare dopo Napoli e mi sono infortunato. Stavolta farò con calma. Abbiamo i nostri giovani, è giusto che si propongano per il bene della squadra». Giovani alla Palladino, in gol contro l’AlbinoLeffe. In compenso David non segna dal 30 settembre, doppietta a Piacenza. Dicevano: ne farà quaranta, in B. Si è fermato a cinque. «E’ una stagione difficile», ripete con un’espressione grave. Perché il sacrificio di quelli come lui non finisca annacquato nei numeri rassicuranti della classifica.
Trezeguet, nel suo caso il gol non è mai un dettaglio.
«In effetti sto attraversando un momento piuttosto delicato. All’inizio le cose andavano meglio. E’ cambiato sistema di gioco, con una sola punta. Io cerco di adattarmi ma arrivano meno palloni. Vi confesso che mi hanno fatto molto piacere le dichiarazioni di Pavel».
Dopo il Pescara, Nedved era dispiaciuto per non averla messa in condizione di segnare. Per inciso, aveva appena realizzato una doppietta.
«Il discorso non riguarda me, è generale. Siamo meno spettacolari rispetto a inizio stagione, soffriamo di più e segniamo soprattutto su palle inattive. Bisogna ritrovare la voglia di giocare, perché il divertimento è ciò che conta davvero. Il gruppo ne è cosciente, e questa consapevolezza sarà la molla per crescere».

«Sono affascinato dai giocatori che trasmettono emozioni alla gente, in questo momento soprattutto da Kakà. E’ veloce, segna e fa segnare. Un fuoriclasse completo. Purtroppo noto un’involuzione, si cura più la fase difensiva che l’attacco. L’importante è non prendere gol, tanto prima o poi uno lo si segna. Se prevale questa mentalità, ci saranno sempre meno giocatori che fanno bene al calcio».
Il Pallone d’Oro a Cannavaro rispecchia la tendenza?
«Cannavaro ha fatto qualcosa di straordinario, ha vinto una Coppa del Mondo. E non dimentichiamo che gioca nel Real Madrid».
Mentre Buffon è in serie B.
«Mi auguro soltanto che Gigi non abbia pagato il fatto di aver accettato la retrocessione. Se fosse così, l’immagine del calcio ne uscirebbe sotto una luce negativa».
Qualche contraccolpo lo sta subendo anche lei. Centrotrenta gol solo con la Juve, eppure per Trezeguet non sembra esserci più posto nella nazionale francese.
«Ero preparato, forse è persino giusto. Vengono privilegiati colleghi che si confrontano con campionati più competitivi. Giocare in serie B è penalizzante, se ne rendo conto anche il mio allenatore. Viviamo una situazione delicata sia a livello professionale che umano, ognuno di noi deve sacrificare qualcosa al protagonismo. Lo ammetto, la Nazionale mi manca moltissimo».
Curioso, dall’Italia campione del mondo è tutto un fuggi-fuggi. Che opinione si è fatto del caso Totti?
«Francesco ha esperienza a livello internazionale, sa quello che fa. Chiede tempo, d’altra parte è logico che ci sia grande attesa per il ritorno in azzurro di un campione come lui. Poi è vero che la nostra mentalità è diversa: un giocatore francese in Nazionale vuole sempre andarci, magari in Italia si tende a privilegiare la squadra di club».
Sembra che la notte di Berlino abbia galvanizzato gli sconfitti e depresso i vincitori.
«Nel ‘98, dopo aver conquistato il Mondiale, abbiamo più o meno mantenuto lo stesso gruppo nelle qualificazioni europee, vincendo tutte le partite del girone. Nel vostro caso, invece, il contraccolpo post-Mondiale c’è stato. E ci vuole poco per restare fuori dall’Europeo».
Juve al top tra cinque anni. No, già nella prossima stagione. Dibattito aperto, lei con chi sta?
«Per l’esperienza che ho maturato in questo sette stagioni, sono d’accordo con l’amministratore delegato, Blanc. Servirà qualche anno. Buffon, Nedved, Camoranesi, Emerson, Vieira, Ibrahimovic non sono arrivati insieme, ogni estate acquistavamo un fuoriclasse. Con il tempo siamo diventati una potenza, purtroppo non ne abbiamo avuto abbastanza per vincere la Champions, che resta il nostro grande rimorso».
Qual è stata la Juve più forte in cui ha giocato?
«A livello individuale l’ultima, la Juve di Capello. Un gruppo composto da giocatori che avevano vinto ovunque ed erano titolari nelle rispettive Nazionali. Davamo ormai per scontato di arrivare primi in campionato, la vera sfida era in Europa. Eravamo tanto attaccati al progetto che nelle ultime due stagioni nessuno di noi ha mai chiesto di andare via. Poi è successo quello che è successo, ci siamo lasciati a Bari con lo scudetto e ritrovati con una squadra rivoluzionata. Per questo ci sentiamo traditi».
Per la verità, i tifosi juventini si sentono traditi da Ibrahimovic.
«Odiano un giocatore che hanno molto amato. Chi non vorrebbe Zlatan nella propria squadra? Ha il suo carattere, ma è straordinario. Ci sentiamo spesso, è contento, anche se all’inizio non è stato semplice ambientarsi nell’Inter».
Intanto ha dato un’occhiata alla classifica cannonieri di serie A? Ibra ha segnato la metà dei gol di Riganò.
«Ricordo che qualche anno fa vinsi il titolo cannonieri parimerito con Hubner, che giocava nel Piacenza. Avevamo segnato gli stessi gol ma si parlava soltanto di me, ero più mediatico. Alla fine ciò che conta sono i numeri, però allo stadio la gente ci va per i grandi nomi. E’ il potere dell’immagine».
La sua tira ancora molto: si legge di offerte da Lione e Manchester United.
«Sette anni alla Juve sono tantissimi, per certi versi un motivo di orgoglio, perché questa è una società che ti mette continuamente sotto esame. Si può dire che li abbia superati tutti, gli esami. Con i dirigenti non sto parlando di rinnovo, nè di futuro. Sono discorsi prematuri. Temo che a forza di dare per scontata la promozione, alla fine tanta sicurezza possa ritorcersi contro. E noi in serie B non vogliamo nè possiamo starci un’altra stagione. Si soffre troppo».

The striker is contracted to Juve until 2008 and has failed to commit his future to the Bianconeri, although the club has reiterated that no key players would leave during January.
However, if the impressive bid were to be confirmed, the Corso Galileo Ferraris outfit may consider the option of letting the 29-year-old forward leave.
