If it was 2 mill for him alone, then that would have been a good deal.

It's not about who pays or not, there is a sum and in this case it is 8mil or 7, 4 goes for the player and 3-4 goes to government, you can choose the payer yourself. At media news, when X player is mentioned that he earns 4 million, it means net 4mil, the rest goes for gov. Players make more in Spain (not sure about Italy). In England if someone get's a 4m a year it's 2m for his pocket, so if players takes 4m home after tax, he gets paid 8m from the club.
This is why if a player from Spain wants to come to go to England and keep the same wages, his English team will have to pay him more.

The only sadness is that Marotta let him go and stil payed for his wages while he got us Toni who's earning more then Trez will at his new club.
I can't really say it because no player is bigger then Juventus but there is a part of me hoping that Trez wil rape our defence and shows Marotta what mistake he made by letting him go.
