They have shown a wonderful understanding in the past, and there is a chance it could still prove extremely valuable now...Its a decent point you made, Baggio, regarding the workload. Trez can do nothing for 89 minutes then pop up in the box and poke the winner past the keeper, whereas in that same game, DP has probably run a few km.

I don't see it ever as a choice between Trez and DP. As they occupy different sections of the attack. Every team needs a goalscorer, and that is the position Trez aims for, against Iaquinta, and Amauri. DP is the other section, the flair, creativity, dribbling, invention...and who has he got to challenge him in this section??? Just Giovinco...
IMO Amauri is a more complete striker than Treze..he has the pace, the skills and the deadly header..whereas Treze only has his deadly finish while he's as slow as a Snail!:sergio:

In terms of putting the ball in the net, there can be no doubt that Amauri is inferior to Trezeguet. The frenchman may lack pace and control, but his finishing, in and around the 6 yard area, is second to none, not just at Juventus, but in the world game as a whole...A chance falling to a striker in the box, I would stake my left ball on Trezeguet to put it away, and only a joint or two, on the brazilian to hit the mark.

Trezeguet's lack of speed and dribbling ability is counterbalanced by his unearthly knack of finding goal scoring positions and putting the damn ball in the net.

Trezeguet is world class as a finisher in the box. He also has a beautiful habit of ghosting in goal scoring positions and is a constant threat in the air...Iaquinta has more heart and strength, Del Piero more flair and control, Amauri...more hair. His dribbling is poor, creativity lacking, determination questionable...but...his ability to put the ball in the net is far more potent than ANY of our other strikers. And it is for that reason that whilst he is on our books, I would like to see him starting.

We have a world class keeper (Buffon), world class centre back Chiellini (rough, but the talent is there, and now the guidance is there in Canna), world class defensive midfield (Momo), potential world class deep lying destroyer cum playmaker (Melo), world class attacking midfielder (Diego) and a world class finisher in Trezeguet.

those are the players whose technique demands that they play in our first team. Because all of them can do something better than most other players in their positions.

Diego, Giovinco, Trezeguet...as a front trio, would be amazing to see given a few games to gel. Pace, Magic, Flair, Aerial potency, Clinical finishing....

I hope Trez wins a starting place. I am less bothered about Del Piero, as while he still has at times, delightful to watch ability, he is losing his pace and power far more quickly than trezeguet.
nice said dude...

I've wondered about people pushing for Trez's sale, especially when they cite a declining physical condition, age, etc... His instinct is what makes him, and if Inzaghi is still scoring (see end of last season, he had some absurd numbers when he finally got on the pitch) at nearly 36-years-old, I'd imagine the same would/could/should apply for David.

Hopefully this year we will get to use the benefits of the best striking force in serie A and probably even serie A.

I hope that everybody will have a great year and deliver enough performances to cover for our handicap elsewhere...

I hope that Treze alone will score 15goals!

Cronios my man, I am not sure I understand you. What is the point you are trying to make here? Is this some form of positive reaffirmation? :shifty:

I am sure you meant the best strike force in Serie A, and possibly Europe:p ;)

Yes, sorry:tup:
We have invested so much there and it is about time to start enjoying the benefits of those investments!!
With good rotation, we will never have to field an off form forward!

You mean Eto'o - Cassano?
I doubt that they will buy both of them, i think they will only buy just one of those gents and pair him with Milito. Inter already tried for Cassano and they failed.
I believe there is a reason for that, either a pre-deal with us already made, or the lack of necessary funds.
The sale of Zlatan to Barca without evolving Etoo, might cancel the funds issue and open the road for Cassano's transfer. A transfer that would be far more important if Zlatan leaves!

The Milito-Etoo-Cassano though, was a scary thought!

After refusing the captain's armband in today's game, now SKY shows footage of Trez's agent meeting with Galliani. :shocked2:
If the right amount is paid (at least 7 millions) he can leave..we already have too many attacking options..and we can use the money to buy Santacroce or Caceres.
