I don't see why workrate or pace is more relevant in this system than any other.

It's not like we've been putting in heaps of quality crosses in recent years anyway and Trez has still scored goal when he has played.
With 4312, whenever a pass is made to the strikers from the midfielders, there usually somewhat on the wing, not in the centre like a 442, I'd rather have Amauri running with the ball, with pace then Trezeguet who always holds up the ball, which I don't blame, because he's more of a header and a target man than a goal poacher.

But it is the same old argument about Trez.

You can play a striker like Amauri, who will contribute to team play, but isn't a great finisher; or you can play Trez, make less chances, but be confident that Trez will take a chance if he is given one.

Why not have both in the squad to cover all options?

The same old argument which I never agreed with though. Trez in a 442 is insane no doubt, but if Trez is there in a 4312, he's barely gona do anything with the ball, and that means as always were going to have to rely on Del Piero again to do something so he can create something with a one man show.

There's a reason why Lippi changed to 442, and not keep the 4312.

I'm not saying I want Trez out but I'd rather have Iaquinta then Trez in a narrow formation or anyone whos fast and good with the ball. Trez is not any of that.

:confused2

But Trezeguet's best years were when we played the 4-3-1-2. :shifty:

Trezeguet has to stay. With the arrival of Diego he will get some good servicing from Del Piero and Diego. He will score like there is no tomorrow.

Caliendo(Trez's agent): "After hearing that Ciro Ferrara will be Juve coach, David would like to stay and honor his contract with the club. We'll meet with the management and see if they want to continue this adventure."

That should be it.

Did the club not say that they would not sell the players that stayed for Serie B, unless they asked to be sold?
