Trez lays down the law Tuesday 12 December, 2006

Juve striker David Trezeguet has reiterated that he is not happy to play in Serie B and needs guarantees from the club before deciding what his future will be.
The Bianconero is expected to be back on the pitch in Friday’s match with Cesena at the Stadio Olimpico after being out of action with a muscular problem, but the Frenchman could not avoid questions on next season.
“I am feeling much better, I thought I would have been back already last week, but then I decided with the medical staff to postpone my return,” said Trezeguet in a Press conference on Tuesday.
“Yesterday I trained with the rest of the squad and there were no problems, so I think I will be available for Friday’s match. Obviously the Coach will decide how and when to use me,” added the French international.
“I cannot say that I am happy to play in Serie B, the general level of the championship is very low. However, we have decided to face this experience working hard to return to Serie A and we reached the top of the table much quicker than we expected.
“Now we must achieve promotion, then we will see. In February my father and agent will come to Italy and we will discuss my future. Before I decide I need to know the club’s plans,” explained the striker.
“In any case, it’s is too early to speak now. To play in Serie A we need important signings, because seven or eight important players left, along with the Coach. We need replacements if we want to return to the highest levels.
“I have been here for seven years, winning four Scudetti, so I thinks it’s normal for me to ask for a competitive side, but there are more than seven months before the end of the campaign.
“I can only guarantee that the group is united and wants the best for the club and its supporters,” said Trez, echoing similar comments from fellow stars Mauro Camoranesi and Gianluigi Buffon.
“I felt betrayed because of the relegation after winning the Scudetto with a team that was definitely the strongest one, as the Inter players also admitted. We are paying for faults that are not ours.
“I would not be glad to play for Inter with that Scudetto on their shirt,” added Trezeguet, referring to former teammates Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira.
“However, I guess now they are definitely happier than me,” concluded the former Monaco man.
