Blanc denies Trez exit
Friday 24 November, 2006

Juventus director general Jean-Claude Blanc has denied that striker David Trezeguet will move to Lyon in January.

The Bianconero was paired with the French side during the summer after the Old Lady’s relegation, before he was forced to stay in Turin.

However, the latest reports suggested that Lyon were ready to make an incredible £21m offer in the New Year.

“Trezeguet will not leave in January,” Blanc told Il Corriere dello Sport. “In Serie B and Serie A we need someone who can put the ball in the back of the net and he is the best at doing this.

“I know I said the same for Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer and then things did not go as I expected.

“But this is because, in the end, the player’s will is very important – the money and the agreements are not decisive. But Trezeguet stays for the time being.

“I cannot guarantee that all the key players will stay for next season, they will have to believe in the project and not worry only about their contracts.

“I want Juventus to be the Ferrari of Europe’s football. We have renovated the club and we want truth and honesty to be our main characteristics.

“This is our mission, we believe we can do something amazing all together, on the pitch and off it.

“We are building a very strong team in view of the future, we want to return to the highest levels of European football as soon as possible,” concluded Blanc.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i agree, we mustn't sell anymore untill june. then, and only then, can we calculate and think of selling key players. in january only the desperate make transfers, it's imperative we stay as we are now.

I love Trezeguet too, and as much as he is a Juve legend, I simply would not be able to resist a 21 million pound bid from Lyon, although I really think ManU is more in a dire situation to get Trez.

Hec given Juve's situation now adn Trezeguet's age, I think we might have to consider bids like this.
He doesn´t want to go to ManUtd, and neither do I.

The Golden Ball winner is not a no more, if he is no linger with Juve you can't just say he's no more.
Carew is ok and he owned Cannavaro.
Being the best scorer is not a reason not to sell him.
21 Million pounds IS big money.
We are in Serie B

Trezeguet Might Quit National Side

This was confirmed by the Juventus' coach, Didier Deschamps, who believes that the striker is more appreciated by the Italian club than the French national team.

zoom - galleria Prolific striker David Trezeguet does not seem to have a future with France and for this reason he is seriously taking into consideration the possibility of quitting international football.

The French national coach, in fact, considers Trezegol as a reserve player despite the incredible number of goals scored by the Bianconeri's attacker throughout his career.

Didier Deschamps spoke about this situation and gave his thoughts on the matter.

"Trezeguet has the sensation of not being held in the right consideration. He had a World Cup in which he suffered, and does not feel important as at Juve.

"He does not feel appreciated and needs to reflect on what to do."

So far Trezeguet has scored 5 goals in Serie B with Juventus, but is currently recovering from an injury picked up in the past weeks.

i hope it doesn't come to that. domenech is a moron, even though trez was never so highly regarded in the nt before him, and he is really pushing it. if trez plays trez will score, it's as simple as that. so if you're not gonna play him don't call him up.

in fact, if i were to make a list of 10 football personas which i'd like to punch in the face, domenech would be topping the list.

Trezeguet doesn´t deserve this kind of treatment from Domenech, and if he is not appreciated by French NT, he really should quit them, I´ve got no problems with that.

Domenech is a :pumpkin: If the French don't sack him, Trez should "retire", which would leave :pumpkin: in the soup if Thiery was injured!

The French NT always looked like a good team whenever they play with only 1 striker. They use a system like Roma, where the midfielders roam free.

IMO Trez would naturally fit a role in this position, but then again, Trez is like a robot. He either delivers or doesnt, you don't really ever see him make an impact on a game, I mean the only way he can impress is by scoring.

Unlike Henry and other forwards where they can have so much impact on a game without scoring.

Trez IS unike Henry, thank God! Trez CAN cut it in the worlds toughest league, he does show up in physical games, does score on the big occasions. Where was Henry in the WC98, 06 or Euro 2000, or 2006 CL finals? Trezeguet scored France's winner in 2000 (unfortunatley!!!). I would have him over Henry in bianconeri anyday. Henry is media-friendly, has a car-selling-smile, scores goals for Arsenal at an astonishing level, but internationally, & in CL his impact is minimised, esp against tough defenders. Its easy to punish the Lucas Neils & Linvoy Primus' of this world, but the Cannavaros, Nestas & Puyols are a different story. Henry away at Bolton? MIA Henry away at Fulham on a rainy Weds night? MIA. Trezeguet getting lumps kicked out of him week after week in serie B? Leading the line, scoring the goals, loving every second. Bring it on! Can you imagine the impact of Henry in the Championship? Hmmmm, thought not.

welcome to the forums isabel. yeay another trezeguet fan. do me a favour, find domenech and bitchslap him a few times for moi. ok? :D

as for your questions; IMO and MIA are acronyms, sort of a internet slang. some people are lazy bastards that find it hard to write a few words so they write acronyms. for example, IMO = in my opinion, MIA = missing in action, LOL(the most popular one) = laughing out loud.

IMO Domenech was the worst coach at this year's world cup and he should thank Zidane for getting him to the final. This guy should have been fired before the world cup but because of that final's apperance has kept his job.

How you can keep a guy like trezeguet on the bench for almost the whole game is beyond me. A player with his style needs to be in the game from the start as he can change the game all by himself.

Trezeguet should retire this azzclown coach treats him like shit and it's a shame for a great player like this.

David Trezeguet insists he does not want to talk about a new contract at Juventus, saying he is just concentrating on helping the club back to Serie A.

The French international has been linked with a move away from Turin since the former Italian champions were demoted in the summer for their role in the refereeing scandal which rocked the sport in Italy.

A host of big names departed, but the likes of Trezeguet and Gianluigi Buffon stayed put.

Juve, who despite starting the season on minus nine points, are top of Serie B and are firm favourites to go back up.

They are now looking to secure their top players on extended deals including Trezeguet - but he insists now is not the time.

"The contract extension? For the moment I do not have my mind on this problem," he told Corriere dello Sport.

"Now we are only interested in Serie A, then everyone will make their choices."

Real Madrid and Lyon have both been strongly linked in recent weeks and Trezeguet admits they both wanted him this summer.

"I have a big feeling with Capello. He wanted me at Juve and I think he would have wanted me at Real too," he said.

"Lyon? It's true also. But Juve said no because they had already decided to keep me.

"It wasn't a money matter, but the club's choice."

Trezeguet also says that although he is enjoying his stay in Serie B, he is being penalised for playing below the top-flight.

"From a human point of view Serie B is a new experience, but technically and visibly, it's another world," he said.

"Am I penalised from this with my national team? Obviously yes. At the World Cup Raymond Domenech chose a one striker option and that was Henry.

"Now we have a different side and I think the fact I play in Serie B it penalises me."

Trezeguet has welcomed the recent link Juve had with Miroslav Klose - suggesting that he is the sort of the player the Bianconeri need if they want to recapture the Serie A crown next term.

"We need real strengthening in all the three lines," he continued.

"We are a competitive side in Serie B but to win the Scudetto we need something else. Klose? These are the types of players we need. I like Klose a lot."
