What is the Kolasinac type?

We are after Kolasinac because he is free and Asa has been too injury prone last 3 years to rely on him. Selling Asamoah and getting a younger (and better) LB for free is good business from our side, if we manage to do it
I think we have more issues on the right than the left to be honest. Would prioritise that. Also, the Kolasniac signing seemed to be a priority before Asa's run off late. It seems we will cool off on that transfer if Asa does ok till the end of the season. Don't see us sell him quite frankly, because he isn't really old. Compared to Kolasinac yes, but not on the whole.

Kolasinac is just a huge market opportunity. To take a good, maybe great, 23 year old LB for free is pretty hard to resist.

I mean, you take him for free and if you want to sell him, immediately he's worth 20M+ probably.

Dani Alves with Lichtsteiner as a backup is enough for next season but after that there is a big need for replacements, hopefully Lirola develops to something of use.

But you get a better player, for free, and get to earn some of the money you invested in Asa back (im thinking ~10M with a EPL team interested). Also, it doesent stop us from getting a RB if we need to, though as il brutto pointed out, with Dani and Licht (or Barza if one of them leaves + Cuadrado as the RWB option if needed) still here next season it isnt a top priority really. The summer after that is when we will need a RB though I wouldnt mind if we get one this summer too

What did you smoke fam? Licht backup to Alves  This isn't Sunday League, bud. We need players that actually care
Not a smoker, I prefer the liquids :D I very much doubt that Alves doesn't care and am fairly confident he'll remain very useful for us in the next 16 months. If Lichtsteiner keeps performing I have nothing against him starting either but given their age I'm sure they are more than happy splitting the games. Who we want to call a backup is just academic.

I don't get why we are beefing up the left with a Kolasinac type signing when we have studs like AS and ASA locking that flank down, coz ASA is back. While on the right we have a more pressing need, with the likes of an ageing Licht and a clueless Dani.
Kolasinac >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Asamoah

Have u ever watched Kolasinac played? Blind love for Asa when he was our worst player by far this season till Max moved him to FB. I'm ok with Asa as AS backup if we can't get anyone better but Kolasinac is actually a pure and with high potential FB. Asa is a player who is trying to find himself again.

And in an interview with Spanish newspaper ABC, Alves accused Barcelona's board of failing to discuss the prospect of a new contract with him until the club were hit by a player registration ban for breaking FIFA rules related to signing young players.

"I like being loved and if they do not want me, I'm leaving," the 33-year-old said.

"During my last three seasons I always heard that Alves was leaving but the management never said anything to me.

"They were very false and ungrateful. They did not respect me. They only offered me a renewal because of the FIFA transfer ban.

"That's when I played their game and signed a renewal, which included a clause that allowed me to leave for free a year later.

"The people who run Barcelona have no idea how to treat their players."

Barcelona's board, led by president Josep Maria Bartomeu, have come in for increasing criticism with regards to their transfer policy.

A specialist right-back was not recruited in the wake of Alves' departure despite a significant outlay on new recruits elsewhere.

The sense that the likes of Portugal international Andre Gomes are not up to the club's standards was thrown into a harsher light by last week's 4-0 Champions League thrashing at Paris Saint-Germain.

During Sunday's lacklustre 2-1 win over Leganes at Camp Nou, head coach Luis Enrique and his team were booed by sections of the home support.

And Alves thinks the relentless media glare faced by Barcelona and bitter rivals Real Madrid, along with the nature of the coverage given to each of the Spanish giants, is a contributing factor to such hostility.

"I just do not like them inventing things, manipulating and creating bad moods – I am referring to the sports press in Madrid and Barcelona," he added.

"They do bar journalism, social media journalism. They are only interested in morbidity and that's not telling the truth.

That is fucking awesome. This guy knew he was leaving Barca for free when he signed his renewal. Lmao. Also, he mentions we have what it takes to win CL, but we're very superstitious about it and hardly like mentioning it at Juve facilities. So it's confirmed, we have a CL mental block/self consciousness.
