Thomas crashed and apparently can't keep up with the peloton before the Etna climb. Let's see what happens. If he is dropped the Giro is still alive

There is no way he can get his old form back anytime soon. Mid thirties, broken body, no sky train... Maybe next year menage somehow to reach 80/90% of old form. This Giro doesn't look promising.

Carapaz had a monster Vuelta. I would put him as captain for starters and then see how it plays out. If not for stupid Vuelta bonus seconds that Roglic got for himself Carapaz would have won on his own without a team. Really like his grinta.

The 2012 Vidal of cycling
It's really strange how Ineos fielded a weak line-up for the Tour and they left out so much potential in Carapaz and Tao out. But yes this article shows that it was a one Tour off. The steam is still the best especially with the new acquisitions.

The good thing is that it is not a year wait for the grand tours to kick off again now.

I opted to watch another Grenadier take his first win at the XCO. He was insane. To Pidcock, remember the name. He put over a minute on VDP, some sections where all riders were leading their bikes while running, he was climbing them as if it were just a normal climb.

Bernal was insane on Friday when he finished top 20 in a stage not at all in his advantage.

Ok, that was insane!

@lgorTudor

Did you watch Stage 16? Bernal having time to calmly take off his jacket to show the maglia rosa at the finish? He could have put a few more seconds but he simply does not care. I hope his cockiness does not punish him in the end. It would be great if he wins after a bad season last year.
