Save the wages.

Building a future around a player who has declined massively and is 36 years old simply isn't worth it.

Nowadays Ronaldo isn't a better player than Higuain was in his prime, and nobody right in their mind would offer Higuain even 40mln let alone 87mln.
Just stop with the comparing of higuain to Ronaldo, you sound ridiculous

Higuain had fairly similar numbers in his first season here, and that was without taking 15 penalties per season. Was Higuain ever worth anywhere near 87mln?
bitch please. if you gonna troll, try harder.

higuian had in 52 appearances 32 goals and 4 assists. ronaldo has same stats in 20 less matches played.

a goal is a goal. penalty or tap in. that why he is top CL scorer of all time while marchisiio is a no one who faded away at 32 years old.

Do you think that what Ronaldo offers on the pitch is worth his wages?

Forget the comparison with Higuain, and just answer the question above.
No, not right now. There's your short answer. But that's a stupid question really, everyone knows why Ronaldo gets the money he gets. If tici did his job, you might have had atleast one CL trophy in the past 3 seasons to show for

I am not talking about what we have or have not achieved as a team.

I am solely talking about Ronaldo's individual abilities. His goalscoring, dribbling, passing, playmaking, free kicks, etc... take everything into account.

If you didn't know that he was Ronaldo, and you saw this player play, would you think that this player is worth 87mln?

87M? What is that number about?

His play has been elite, that's not the issue. No player is worth 30M a year based on their game, other factors go into it. So stop pretending like he's what's wrong with the club when we have bums that aren't even worth their 2M salaries

No, I am asking you if his individual abilities are worth the wages we pay for him.

Forget his name for one minute and analyze how he plays the game.

You want me to give an honest assessment? Ronaldo nowadays is a poacher, he cannot create for himself like the other big earners do (Neymar and Messi). He’s not particularly creative or ingenious and relies mostly on service from others.

His gameplay is simply not worth the ludicrous wages we pay him. He’s still a very good player and finisher, but nothing more.

Lol @ thinking salaries are determined due to playing alone.

Ronaldo is the most marketable PERSON in the world. He brings a lot of attention = money to :J:.

Juventus position in the Deloitte Football Money League:

2017: 10th
2018: 10th
2019: 11th
2020: 10th

I am still waiting for this crazy financial boost we get from CR7.
Lol @ thinking it happens overnight. We cant know how many new fans we gained thanks to CR. What we do know for certain is that we did gain them and it will keep paying off long after CR is gone.

We can revisit this discussion in 5 to 10 years and see with hindsight if the Ronaldo signing was a mistake or not. Hard to prove or disprove anything right now, so we will have to be patient.

There is no narrative, it's the simple truth.

Ronaldo relies on service, even most Ronaldo fans themselves accept that.

He's not like Neymar or Messi, it is obvious if you watch football.

All the attacking players are reliant on service. If they’re not, how they got the ball in first place?

It’s still a team game, i don’t know why people are trying to change it to support their opinions.

Seems like you dont know what a poacher is. Also seems like you think Ronaldo cant create a shot for himself. I know the CL exit and Dybala exit rumors hit you hard but just stop with this nonsense

Hes probably frustrated by our constant team downgrade like many others here, but has wrongly identified Ronaldo as a source of many of our on and off the field problems. But as shown by many people here before, thats simply not true

I am at a stage right now where I actually miss Khedira, Pjanic and Matuidi

That’s what Bentancur, Arthur and Rabiot have done to my mental health.

I miss the days when I was frustrated because we were losing to Real Madrid instead of Lyon or Porto.

Now please let me suffer in peace, thank you.
