Proof that the Ballon D'or votings were corrupt.

One of the voters ( a pakistani journalist) admits to not voting for Ronaldo due to ongoing rape allegations.....even though the allegations literally have nothing to do with his sporting performance over the course of the year and he hasn't actually been proven guilty.

In theory no. But obviously all contenders are world class. If you believe he did it, you're probably not going to vote for a rapist.

The fact that someone just assumes he is, because someone else says so, though is probably worse. The presumption of innocence is there for everyone.

What's annoying though is that she never liked Ronaldo in the first place based on past tweets, so the rape allegations were more of a convenient excuse to not vote for him. Even if his image would have been that of a saint she probably still wouldn't have voted for him. And that's just unacceptable for an award that's supposed to be so prestigious.
