Ronaldo allegedly didn't give up. "I turned away. He tried to take my underwear off. I turned away from him and curled up into a ball. And I was holding my vagina. And that's when he jumped on me." She says she said "no, no, no, no."
Ronaldo, Kathryn Mayorga claims, raped her anally. Without a condom. Without lubricant.
"After he assaulted me, he wouldn't let me leave again. He wouldn't let me leave. And he was calling me 'baby, baby.' He gave me this look, this guilty look. Almost like he felt bad. I don't remember but I'm pretty sure he said 'sorry' or 'Are you hurt?' And by this time, he's (...) on his knees. He says the 99 percent thing." He insisted, she says, that he was "a good guy" except for the "one percent."

If true that is flat out savage. :(

I can't find any information about a new settlement. Being in a VIP section automatically makes you a gold digger? I hope you called the LVPD to tell them to cancel the investigation, it seems you already have it figured out.

 It's getting ridiculous in here now.
you can be a gold digger and still get raped, but just because you levy rape charges you are not all of a sudden immune to being called what you are, also this is my last reply to you at this point it's a waste of time since all you do is regurgitate the same stuff.

It very well may be that she's out for money. That's why there's that investigation, rather than jumping to conclusions and claiming to have facts when you have nothing other than hunches and a "programmed" emotional response against anything that can be perceived as having formed out of the American millennial far left.

OR perhaps she was interested at first, went up to his room, and then had second thoughts for literally any possible reason whatsoever. And Ronaldo, being someone that probably hasn't been told the word "no" to anything he wanted for the large majority of his life, doesn't care. Both are easily just as likely.
Waiting for 9 years for this whole MeToo thing to break out and then trying to ride the wave because now suddenly you are 'strong enough' to dispute your prior settlement doesn't not exactly strike me as exemplary moral behaviour.

I don't know what happened. I really don't.

But she's in it for the money, that much is obvious. The timing of it all is just ridiculous.

Again, that doesn't mean Ronaldo didn't do anything wrong. It's very difficult to find out now either way. But this woman is clearly trying to make an extra buck because she knows public opinion is more likely to side with her at this particular point in time.

This.

Also, you can be a victim of rape and then decide to be a gold digger. Being raped doesn't mean you're holy. It just means you were raped.

If he didnt use a condom wouldnt he be totally fucked? Wouldnt the hospital she attended afterwards have collected DNA evidence?
I believe a rape kit was used, but unless there are obvious signs of violence, that still doesn't prove much. Proof of sex is not the same as proof of rape.

You can also be a gold digger and a get raped.
Sure. But I get X's point.

Personally I have little sympathy for her, because of the timing of it all. But we don't know what happened and sympathy cannot cloud our judgment.

The only thing we do have to respect is the presumption of innocence, which also means treating Ronaldo as innocent until proven guilty. Until a court of law convicts him, I will see him as innocent.

Sure. That’s all reasonable.

Why are you so sure she wasn't bruised?

I am waiting for the evidence. She's the one that has to prove in this case as the plaintiff.

About the 99% percent thing is a Brazilian song from 2015. I know we speak the same language but she completely missed Geography here.

Yes you absolutely can. But that wouldn't make it any less of a crime or her any less of a victim.

 Not really, but ok. Have a nice day.

I really don't see the timing of all that off. It seems to actually be almost common with sex crimes. Look at all the men now coming forward with acts committed by priests. They're also getting quite large sums of money too, might I add. I wouldn't say it's undeserved either.

There we go. Now considering this, how can we speak of innocence, guilt, or motives as though we have been presented with absolute facts on what occurred? I mean, for all we know, she could've been a prostitute that was promised a huge sum of money for her services, but Ronaldo decided not to pay it or some bullshit, so she decided to file a report calling it rape. This is of course considering your previous comments that his statement of guilt are not real, as no lawyer would allow their client to do something like that.

Who knows? We don't, and at this point I'd say we can't. To me, and this could just be my interpretation, but when people say "she's just looking for money" would imply that she is lying and nothing happened, and that's where I have the problem.
