well why not? is it because he's not a big name like those i named, im sure when we turned zambro into a full back fans back then didnt think he would be a great fullback, im confident that if molinaro can improve his crossing, then his game is complete and can be a great full back, he has age on his side afterall
the guys you mentioned are still comfortable with the ball at their feet unlike Moli...anyway, I doubt it but I sincerely hope that Moli does reach the level of those guys

However if he keeps playing like that i wont bash him at least.
I m very pleased that he is not running away from the opposition players anymore!

However i still think we need a pair of starter material wingbacks (that includes Zebina+Grygera too)

just like there was the chorus against chiellini as a cb? look how he turned out,in that case i hold you to your words, and i say molinaro will turn out to be a top left back
I had been saying that Chiellini looked more like a CB than a LB before he was moved to CB.

I'm not wrong very often when it comes to judging defenders.

Chiellini is still young, who knows maybe he could have been a great LB if he played in that position, but I am more than satisfied with him playing in center. It's not easy to find great central defenders these days, for that I prefer him to stay in the center, thou I am very sure we could see great performances from him on the left, he is not on his top level yet, he is very good and will be one of the bests someday.

Even if Molinaro does improve his crossing, something that is up in the air, he doesn't have the sense to become a great fullback, let a alone a complete one. Whomever claimed he might is simply snorting coke.

why? you're simply basing it on your dislike for him and lack of optimism in him improving, which he has shown otherwise over the last few months

No-one is doubting that his defending has improved, but his play in possesion, especially his crossing, has not improved.

You said he can be a complete full back, but for that he has to be able to cross.

Lets not push it Badass. Moli will never be a great left back simply because he has no talent for football. The talent Maicon or Cafu were born with.

But i really don't remember more than 3 players in the world who have such physical condition, such stamina and so fast legs. These ingridients and time are enough to make a useful player out of Molinaro.
Crossing can be learned, Seven. It's only practicing. Not to become a Beckham, but with hard training you will get the feeling how hard to hit the ball and how to kick it from distance x or distance y.
He's obviously becoming a much better defender, simply because he's learning and practicing. He'll do the same with his crosses.
But unfortunately, he will never be a Maicon. He lacks the talent.

Such a shame really. He has something that 0.00001% of the football players are blessed with, and he lacks something that most of football players have....talent.

Forza Molinaro nonetheless. We'll be satisfied even if you keep playing the way you did tonight.

I loved how Molinaro went for a walk and was dreaming for a few seconds and Ranieri shouted:"Moliiiiiiiiii!"Then he moved his ass back to cover his area.

Good game today.
 I saw that.

You are being really harsh here Alen. Saying he will never be great doesn't sound good. He's already playing for a big team like Juve I don't see how he can't be good If he improves in the future.

And I also disagree on something, Molinaro may not have the best shots or can dribble like Cafu or R. Carlos but he can easily go inside the opponents box which is what LM/RM need the most.

actually what's really remarkable is how he brushes off boos, embarrassing crosses, and almost everyone yelling at him so easily
Strength in character despite lack of ability.

Hope that Molinaro will keep on improving, who knows one day his crosses will finally reach the intended person

honestly i disagree with you again, look at molinaro of 12 months ago and look at molinaro now, huge difference in his game and approach, im sure in the next 12 months it will be even better, as i said he's still fairly raw, well medium rare now, but he clearly has determination to prove a point and to improve his game, you wait and see, 12 months from now we will be singing molinaro's praises and will wonder why on earth we even battered him with insults in the first place, and i was a massive critic of his at one time
