Depends what you guys refer to as talent. If you're referring to it as having the skills to dribble and vision than not all LB/RB were able to dribble or tech skillful. Zambrotta for example was no Cafu or Carlos but he proved to be one of the best If not the best during Lippi time.

I don't see how you guys can say he's not talented. There's a difference saying he needs to improve or he shall improve and saying he's never going to be talented or he's not.

Only Maicon comes to mind that is doing better than Molinaro other than him i don't see anyone else.

He was very good defensively, offensively he was terrible, even thou he had good runs, but his passes and crosses were just like usual, what I liked about him, the way he steals the ball from the opponent. if he stays back and only focuses on defending, he will get better ratings..
He might receive better ratings by some of the people here, but that means nothing. One of the main reasons Molinaro's pace is such an effective weapon when defending, is because with his runs he forces the opposition on his flank farther down. This creates a great distance between the winger and our goal, forcing him to dribble or try to outrun (and eventually lose the ball to Cristian or Chiellini), or to pass it to another midfielder who will be up against Sissoko, Marchisio and the likes. I've been saying this since his very first displays for the club, but obviously now he's much improved.

Molinaro's always playable and always an option on the left, and as long as he doesn't attempt to do anything he's not capable of and simply provides width, his forward runs are very useful. Even if he loses the ball, he has the speed and ability to recover it.

Have you noticed that some of Grygera's best defensive performances have come at a time when he's quite active in attack? Real Madrid at home is a recent example.

As a midfielder, Zambro was already a good crosser. He's naturally intelligent and he was reading the game very well. Having the stamina, all he had to do was improve the defensive aspect of his game and he could easily play a RB/LB. He did it in no time.
Zambro already had the talent and the intelligence.

With Moli these things will go more slowly.
What i love, actually adore, about him and people like him, is that he's aware that he's not at the same level as the others and he's working like a maniac to improve. Like students in school. Many times the least smart ones get much better grades than the smarter ones simply because they're working and studying like crazy. They don't give up, they work harder than the others, and sooner or later they will succeed.
The same with Molinaro. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes first and leaves last or among the last from trainings. He's just 25 and he's willing to improve, he never gives up. We can see the huge improvement already, we'll see more in the future. He'll keep frustrating us from time to time, but the frustrations are already not the same and not as often as last year.

It was more than a year ago when Cron and many others laughed at my comparison between Molinaro and Di Livio*. Many will still laugh at it. Angelo was another player who made it to the top with his work rate.
Now, that is what i want and expect from Molinaro. Not to become the world's best like Maicon (neither Di Livio was as good as the talented Cristiano Ronaldo), but to become an important part of a winning team.

* Di Livio played in serie C and serie B until he was 27. But with huge work rate he then made it to Juve and at 29 to the NT. His best season was when he was 30, when we won the CL.

I think De Ceglie can complete Molinaro, if both of them play at the left, De Ceglie instead of Nedved, they will have a good display. Because Molinaro can only give very simple passes, he can run and have a great position, but when he gets the ball he stops, he doesn't know what to do, that's his weakness, he is no good reader of a game. While if he runs a little forward, and pass it to De Ceglie, De ceglie can do anything, good passes, dribble and cross.

Nedved is in terrible form anyway, I don't see any harm to try it..

Born on July 30, 1983. That makes him 25 and a half years old.
If you watched it on RAI then you heard the commentator say that Moli was 26. I heard that too. But the commentator simply saw that Molinaro was born in 1983, now we're 2009, and he came up with 26.

You really are full of crap aren't you? The amount of shit stored in your body easily surpasses Russia's annual shit production.
you honestly should watch dani alves for barcelona this season, he defends better than maicon and attacks better than maicon. and its my opinion if i think he's the 2nd best player in the world to messi, some would argue it would be ronaldo, but i think defenders are underrated in football
