cronios you say all this about molinaro, but you don't say anything about grygera, IMO molinaro is far better than grygera
If it was up to me, none of Molinaro, Grygera and Marchionni would have the chance to be Juve's starters!
Grygera came in as a cheap solution to replace the permanently injured Zebina.
Soon or later i expect Zebina to return and claim his place, or we will have to sell Zebina and bring someone better! Grygera at the beginning had some serious adapting issues. He did his worst mistakes when he was at the CB position, a position he is clearly not made of. The reason he was used on the position though, indicates that CR trusted his defensive skills and tactical awareness, more than his favorite son! Grygera has some basic footbalistic skills, he may control, he may tackle and us he proved to us yesterday, he may deliver some good crosses and most surprisingly make some runs deeper than our RM. Since he lost his tooth, and as time goes by, he is getting used to the way Italians defend. I used to bash him at the beginning too, but not as much as Molinaro, because i see more potential in him.
He is not as crippled as Molinaro and our managers dont overestimate him, because he came in as a cheap(free) foreigner!
On the other hand Molinaro lacks most of the basic skills a football player ought to have (control, tackling, passing, crossing, marking, air game, tactical awareness; that would help him to: sync his runs, cover spaces, set offside traps etc) With other words, he is crippled as a football player, he has a great stamina and a will to run forwards and backwards all the game long. But with any of the above skills, his stamina was worthless to our cause.
Whats even worse, is that he was brought as a young promising Italian,
the ideal candidate to replace Chiellini as he was turning into a CB.
Our strategical plans involve him, the more we tolerate him, the more he is becoming a part a of our team.
I see our defense, as our weakest spot, we constantly negletting to fix.
If we have any ambition to become a world class team again, we need to replace those quick fixes/mediocre players with top class, or very promising material!
Thats why i insist on Molinaro, because Grygera has both more potential and more chances to get replaced, as long the Zebina front is open!
But there is no one to stop the Molinaro tyranny.
De Ceglie had the potential to do so, but CR wouldnt favor him, over his favorite son and our managers would rather see him replacing Neddy, so that we dont have to spend more, to buy a replacement.
Thats another reason they dont try to converse Giovinco into a LM, they want him to replace DP!
So that Chiellini, Neddy and DP, will be replaced by Molinaro, De Ceglie and Giovinco! This is our planning ahead, this is the future Juve we are building up.
Luckily for us, DC, Giovinco and Marchisio, 3 very promising youngsters we owned, hold a great potential and they may become indeed worthy, of wearing our jersey! But this is not the case with Molinaro!
His presence and our managers belief on him, only one thing.
That all of the young players we have, are here only because they are young cheap(salary+no transfer fee) and Italian, they are here because we have no ambition to buy new players and raise a Juve string as before!
I doubt our managers are really aware of the difference between the potential of the three and Molinaro's. I doubt our managers have the potential to raise a new crop like them, for the future, like the previous management did for them.
This management have little understanding of footballistic values,
their plans are faulted, misplaced and unbalanced...
Soon, the retiring generation of our previous management champion, will not be here to cover up, for their mistakes...
Molinaro for me is a symbol of the days to come, an incompetent management,
unable to see who has potential and who has not
and our owners unwilling to invest to help us build a competitive, full of top class players!
An unwise transfer director, without experience, or the ability to learn from his mistakes! Incapable of balancing our team and wasting every years budget on our world class forward line, ignoring our mediocre defensive line.
(after wasting our previous transfer budgets on Iaquinta and then Amauri,
expect us to sign someone like Cassano this year and keep Molinaro, Grygera and bring in a new cheap/free Stendardo/Knezevic to fill up the wholes in our weak defense)
A bold-less coach, unable to express his will and destined to be a pawn of our owners and embrace any left overs they are thrown to him, as promising material...(though he mat be aware of the potential of the 3, there is a "dark" reason for all this unquestionable support on Molinaro)
The more Molinaro's our team will have to fill our starter positions, the less competitive Juve will be...
Marchionni is this season, by far, our worst player on the pitch, worse than both Molinaro and Grygera!
But he is only here as Camo's replacement. And he is far more talented that Molinaro+Grygera will ever be.
He has been quite promising in Parma, he has a sharp pass, a good cross, a decent dribbling, i ve always believed that if given the chance, he will fulfill his promise. But it seems that his injuries took the best of him, this year was his last chance and he wasted it. Unlike Molinaro, Marchionni has to face Competition, by the starter Camo, the youngster Ekdall and the replacements Salih and Giovinco.
That def shows that he is only here as a quick fix and we dont trust him to be a part of our future! So he also is a lesser threat strategically...(for the future Juve)
That doesnt chance the fact that he is a major threat tactical, for the moment, so this is the reason, that i ve focused by criticism on him for the moment!
