The relations between Juventus and Udinese have become extremely intense after Vincenzo Jaquinta's transfer. The friulan club is still hoping to engage midfielder Antonio Nocerino but, as coach Claudio Ranieri wants to keep the player in Turin, Udinese could finally make an attempt for Giuliano Gianncihedda, who won't have many chances to play in Juventus in the next season and has played already in Udine in the past. The piemontese club would probably agree to Giannichedda's transfer, expecially because they are extremely intersted in colombian defender Zapata; Udinese wants at least 12 million Euros for the 20 year old player and Juventus are trying to debase this price by offering one of his players.

Haha, I would love this deal, and considering Gianni is being a pain.

Udinese rate this bloke at 7 million pounds. SURELY for that much we could get Barzagli. I still cannot believe that we haven't signed him yet

I can't either. It seems that now we are looking into Senderos. After we kick Chiellini out, pick up 1 Italian in the market... we are looking more and more like Inter every day.

Juventus turn to £7M Udinese defender Zapata
    tribalfooball.com - July 24, 2007

Juventus have made fresh contact with Udinese for defender Cristian Zapata.

Udinese want £7 million for the Colombia international, who is emerging as a top target for Juve as negotiations with Stuttgart drag on over Fernando Meira.

Juve and Udinese enjoy a close relationship, though the Turin giants regard their asking price for 20 year-old Zapata as too steep.

Zapata is very talented defender, the specialists rating him one of the best defenders on Europe, for these reason Udinese want 12 milion.

If they only want £7 mio. I think we should make an offer. I'd rather give them money than youngsters (Hmm... who's left to give away?). If he is really that good, £7 mio. isn't that much. It's a small price to pay for a player that can play (at high level) for the next 15 (?) years.

I think I'd take Zapata over Senderos any day of the week, even if we have to spend a couple mil more than we would have to for Senderos (I'm sure that 7 million pound figure can be screwed down to 5 lol)

JUVENTUS-UDINESE, Zapata and Quagliarella in the future?
    Posted 24.07 10.51 by Redazione TMW - read 107

Udinese's request is about 10 million Euros for Zapata, in spite of more or less 6 million offered from Juventus. The Colombian player could be a good alternative to Fabio Cannavaro.
