Pills were made over time. This experimental drug came out after less than a year since virus broke out and such vaccines never happened before. But yeah "medicine nowadays is amazing and much faster". Medicine is so amazing it couldn't predict virus to continue after vaccines are out.

Technology evolves all the time, making things faster. That said, the main reason for the vaccines to be made this quick (the mRNA ones that is), is the removal of hurdles that were purely bureaucratic. That and the fact that the governments put in money upfront (and there by assuming most of the risk) making it easier for pharma companies to go all in without having to worry about cost. I don't think corners were cut or claims faked in terms of effectiveness against the Covid variant prevalent at the time. Sure, long term effects are yet to be completely determined. For that, we will need time. But I'd rather live a few more years and then worry about having heart problems later than catch Covid, have other (very observable) lung ailments now or worse die.
Should private enterprises be able to make vaccines mandatory? Yes. Should governments make it mandatory, I'm not sure.

I hear bureaucratic as only one side of the coin. And yeah, I did hear that story. However, I also heard numerous of times how vaccine simply cannot be made so fast, let alone go through all of those phases.

Not fake, I never stated anything like that. I'm just stating it can't be normal to see vaccine being produced over 10-20 years be of the same as ones produced after 4 months. IMO it's bullshit to hear how "moeny was given so speed was increased". How can data and tests be same after a period of 20-30 years and of 30-90 days?

Ya but there have been multiple studies all over the world, where these kind of results were replicated. So while i don't doubt the data integrity issues reported by this researcher, it hardly applies to all studies, everywhere in the world.

I wasn't specifically referring to you actually. I haven't discussed this with you personally enough to know your exact views.

My post was directed more generally to anti-vaxxers who believe data and studies are faked, and its all one big conspiracy.

Out of curiosity now, how many of you would take the antiviral that Pfizer is going to release if you did end up getting sick? Particularly interested in those who have not or are reluctant to get the vaccine. Keep in mind, treatment would need to begin within 3 days of symptom onset (as far as I know) so you may not be able to fully determine severity of your illness.

I always thought "vaccine" specifically meant an injection, and things like that or the flu nasal spray had a different name to be honest.

And what are you talking about here? Extra cash? In what world do you live in, Greg? I live in a shit country but it's not just about me here. Not even people from Italy and other countries can afford to test every 2 days in order to meet their requirements. That test is what I earn in 1 day working 8 hours. If I was provided with tons of money of course I wouldn't complain about it and I'd just pay. That's not paying extra money, that's extortion.

But what If your life choices have financial social consequences? Who pays for that? It’s not as if because you have no money makes the social costs vanish.

But people (politicians and scientists) were saying it would all end once vaccines are out. And it didn't happen.
