3050 new cases in Bavaria alone :baus:

Wannabe Corona-King Söder not happy.

- - - Updated - - -

Munich (Reuters) - Bavaria wants to enforce the contact restrictions decided by the federal and state governments to contain the Corina pandemic in private apartments.

"The stay in public as well as in private space is limited to the members of your own household and one other household, but in any case to a maximum of 10 people", the cabinet of Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) decided on Thursday in Munich.

The police should enforce the ban on larger meetings in apartments in the same way as they take action against disturbances, said Söder. "Then the neighbors can give appropriate information, and then the police will come."

Rationalization galore, don't pick and choose red herrings, all chose the same path, only one chose the different one and it's doing much much better than the whole. But enjoy your echo chambers.
Not sure how this is cherry picked data.

    denmark cases.png denmark numbers.png finland cases.png finland numbers.png norway cases.png norway numbers.png sweden cases.png sweden numbers.png

If you want per capita numbers:
Cases: Sweden has 3.3 times the number of per capita cases as Norway, 4.2 times as many as Finland and 1.6 times as many as Denmark.
Deaths: Sweden has 11 times as many per capita deaths as Norway, 9 times as many as Finland and 4.7 times as many as Denmark.
Sweden's recent spike of more than 2000 cases per day is a lot higher than Norway (400), Finland (200), Denmark (1000).

But they had the best economy, right? Wrong.
If you want to look at GDP growth rates:
Sweden's growth is the worst amongst its Nordic neighbors:
-4.7% GDP growth vs -4.5% for Denmark, -4% for Finland and -2.8% for Norway.
    https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/NGDP_RPCH@WEO/OEMDC/ADVEC/WEOWORLD

If you wanna talk about unemployment numbers:
Sweden: 9% unemployment, compared to 6.1% for Denmark, 8.4% for Finland, and 5.2% for Norway.

Sweden was the outlier for sure- they did way worse on coronavirus than their neighbors and their economy was also worse off.

You can't look at Covid as the only contributing factor to Sweden's or anybody's real GDP numbers, which by the way are for 2020 according to your link, so it's year over year. Once again we have a vacuum discussion.

Last year, their GDP growths were all similar, with Denmark being the highest (2.3%)
    Sweden (1.3%), Finland (1.1%), Norway (1.2%).
If you want to make the argument that Sweden already has the strongest economy, that argument is wrong too, because Norway and Denmark have higher GDPs per capita than Sweden (both nominal and PPP) while Finland is only slightly worse.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)_per_capita

You can slice it, dice it, roast it, bake it, fry it any which way you want, but the fact remains that Sweden's handling of Covid was an epic failure.

Fake news bro. Be rational. It was obviously resounding success that proves everyone else wrong. ;)

Very simplistic view of economics IMO, that’s all I was pointing out.

Well, it is reductionist. It says that year-to-year, Sweden's economy would have been identical and all differences are attributed to COVID.
