A 60-year-old man has become the first French victim of the coronavirus in the country, the health ministry announced Wednesday.

The man died overnight after being rushed to a Paris hospital in serious condition on Tuesday evening, bringing the total death toll in the country to two, said the ministry's deputy head Jerome Salomon.
In a televised statement, Salomon said a 60-year-old French man in a very serious condition was tested at Paris’ Pitie-Salpêtrière hospital late on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately (he) died during the night,” Salomon said.
The deceased was one of three new cases in France, bringing the total confirmed coronavirus infections in France to 17.

The first victim was an 80-year-old Chinese tourist, who died in mid-February.

    - Misspells the name
    - only cares about markets
I'm not sure if the CDC is doing a good job or not, I suppose we shall see. But the Trump administration denying certain travelers from China and creating the screening process at a few selected airports was seemingly a good move, at least delaying the virus from spreading to buy time. Wonder what the Democrats would have done, probably just let everyone through to not be "racist".

The markets do need to turn around though, negative growth for the year in March isn't good.

CDC literally warned everyone that an outbreak is inevitable. Didn't you post that link? Now this guy is saying it's exaggerated and it's not really that bad, as if market follows CNN and MSNBC. It's pretty obvious that he only cares about one number and that is DJIA, and is ready to blame everybody for its reaction.
Also hypothetical discussion regarding what would Dems do is stupid and ridiculous.

Actually we did: 2009 H1N1 outbreak which was much milder. Obama declared national emergency over it. I don't recall him blaming Fox News for fanning the flames.
