Yeah, thought so. It's mostly only elders.

How about Iran?
i have no detailed info about iran, and they aren't too reliable either. i only read about the average age of the italian deceased people on a hungarian news site.

btw this is the best site i found about the number of cases containing interactive and often updated data:
https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/685d0ace521648f8a5beeeee1b9125cd

what i find interesting is that there are just a very few reported cases in the hottest african regions. also, india is doing pretty fine compared to its population. either the virus cannot spread so quickly in hotter climate (and in that case, summer can't arrive soon enough*), or these countries just have a shitty medical system and can't even properly test the potentially infected people for the virus.

*it's just speculation, nobody knows anything: https://www.newscientist.com/articl...navirus-outbreak-die-out-in-the-summers-heat/

Nah, that site seems quite bad from what I noticed. So far I think this one is the best one I saw:

https://ncov2019.live/data?fbclid=IwAR1mSLqCWCfIeqDJS7qZfymPrCQBOuwgjZSFjEA7CDECYZOKL6GFecSkWUQ

Btw, ignore the "recovered" tab. Numbers seem more reliable and updated more often.

But yeah, not too surprising. Heat and summer time usually kills viruses while during winter bacteria dies. I think I heard somewhere that 25 degrees plus starts killing viruses. However, there were cases of corona in Arabia before when it came from camels, so heat couldn't do much. I suppose it depends on several factors. But I think it's a good thing we have April coming.

If anyone was still wondering what was the main reason/priority behind this staged rolling out of very amazing experts, a quick glance to the right on your screen should have cleared all doubt.

Is there a legitimate explanation out there for the disproportionate number of covid-19 cases in Italy and Iran? That is, disproportionate to other countries in their respective regions of the world.

Not sure about Italy, but Iran did not suspend the flights to China, and kept the whole things under wraps for several weeks fearing the election turnout to suffer from the news.
