72% of the county is vaccinated so why are mask mandates back here?

What happened to herd immunity? I thought the bar was lower than 72% and that is not even counting un-vaccinated who have been infected.

@AFL_ITALIA , am I in the wrong?

On a long term herd immunity seems impossible to track and deal with. Let's say people have anti bodies for like 8-12 months time. It's all about the speed of a rollout. It kinda makes a huge difference when one takes a vaccine right at the start and somebody else takes it 5 months later. It creates a hole where you could see a problem emerging.

On the other hand, Pfizer and Moderna increased prices for their vaccines.

I thought it was 70-80% of the entire population. Not just vaccine eligible (12+). Some (especially on the Fox News crowd) were trying to suggest 40-50% and saying we already reached it from infections alone during earlier drops in numbers, but others were saying it would be like anything else and to truly reach herd immunity would be 85-90%.

By like Dusan said, there’s a big issue if the vaccine rollout takes a year plus to get the shots into that number of people, especially if majority of the developing world have no vaccines, and the virus seems to mutate frequently. Delta variant seems to carry high viral load even for vaccinated folks compared to earlier forms, but still doesn’t make vaccinated people very sick, unlike unvaccinated. However, I saw there is another variant out of Peru called Lambda or something like that, that might be able to evade antibodies… so… :scared:

Or use it to thirst trap, works like a charm
Which gives me an idea... fook OnlyFans. Why isn't there an OnlyH8ers.com? Polarization sells, baby, and dis is the Murican way.

As the apple dude once said, you've gotta start with the customer experience and work backwards for the technology.
And right before he sexually abused his daughter.

I don't think humans have ever reached recorded herd immunity with a coronavirus (and there have been a few prior).

Not only that, the vaccines don't bestow immunity ... they primarily reduce your symptoms with some nominal impact on infections and transmission.

Then throw in variants. Your herd immunity is only good as last year's model without the upgrade. 5G ftw, baby. :weee:

:D

Is there a socialism variant along the way?
