I think people are seeing things in Tolisso that aren't really there. They are hoping he is some Pogba/Vidal hybrid or something. Some type of B2B engine like we had in the old days.

I think he's a fine player but he's not a catalyst type. He's not Nainggolan or something like that. He's not a CAM, that's for sure. And is it wise to spend 40M on a 2 man DM? I don't think so personally.

If you can get Bernardeschi for the same price, I'd rather do that.

"I have not signed anything with Juventus. I have a contract with Lyon until 2020, so that should answer all questions about whether I am still here next season." - Tolisso

We should sign him, but I agree with you in rather prioritizing Bernadeschi type of signing.

Btw anyone who is somewhat of quality in CM will cost 30-40m it seems, go to price now unless it winding down contract, out of favour/struggling player or youngster (even then they will cost close to that).

He is pretty much tired of being asked about his next obvious move it seems, prolly sees it as disrespect to Lyon to keep talking about it.

Gagliardini (who I rate highly) went for close to 30 million with a few Serie A games under his belt; Tolisso has far more games and CL experience, and he has done well when called upon, so he's definitely worth that kind of money. That's just how the market is nowadays.
