well there are only 10 countries so not that shocking.

North and South America should not have had two separate championships to begin with IMO.
I’ve always thought having one tournament for all the Americas would be beneficial to everybody. The US would be able to face tougher opponents and the SAs would benefit by the NAs art or promoting and hyping up events. Too bad it’ll never happen.

they used to invite teams from other regions, what happened with that?

It’s still a thing. Australia and Qatar were supposed to participate this year but they decided not to because they have their own tournaments to play in.

Organizing a Copa America almost every year made it lost a bit of its appeal imo. Having empty stands doesn't help as well
