right now? im in a developing stage

my family is evangelical, but im looking to get into doctrine by myself and without any external pressures or preferences that i acquired from my church or anything. im keeping off of any theology right now.

once im out of HS and out my parents life i will ponder on the rhema and the logos and decide on my walk...

That's great to hear, i'd like to hear about ur walk as u go along

so u're familiar with the concepts of rhema and logos... if u wanna know more about this, i'd recommend a book by David Yong-Gi Cho, called "The Fourth Dimension".... the title sounds like a corny science-fiction book, I know, but it gives a clear understanding of the concepts.

My mom told me about the book. And its Paul Yonggi Cho he's got like the biggest church in Korea right?



I really am not in a stage to think much about God and religion right now. I have a lot of issues to deal with and thats why I would rather wait- I dont wanna get in too fast and get burned.

Ideally it would be great if I was prepared for crisis but you cant have your cake and eat it too.

Yes, I originally wrote Paul Yonggi Cho in the post, but realised that he changed his name to David.

The church is called Full Gospel Yoido Church, and it has about 700,000 members.

I really am not in a stage to think much about God and religion right now. I have a lot of issues to deal with and thats why I would rather wait- I dont wanna get in too fast and get burned.

Maybe I don't understand the extent of your issues, but what better time to turn to God for help than when you have things on your mind? I know it's not easy, but I can assure you that He'll help

Yeah I have, and i agree he's a great speaker too. He's well-versed in comparative religions and cults (he knows about them), and I think that's what I heard him speak about before.

I've also heard some broadcasts of 'Let My People Think', but they don't broadcast it in Australia :down:

So what? We haven't seen him. So because our human senses can't detect him, he must not exist? That's pretty simple-minded if you ask me; thinking that humans are so supreme that anything beyond our understanding mustn't exist.

Well, you can feel the wind. Can you feel God physically everyday?

depends on whether you choose to accept the fact that it is god or coincidence, or science, or nature

for example- the distance from the earth to the sun is perfect for supporting human life. if it were an closer or farther we wouldnt be alive. you can call that coincidence. or you can call it god.

similarly, the fact that the human race has all the attributes not only to survive, but to reproduce and improve their existence with their mental capacity can be attributed to either luck, or god.

depends on what you choose to follow.
