Ranieri: Juve doing fine
Saturday 4 October, 2008
Under-fire Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri claims he is not worried at his side’s disappointing recent form. “We don’t need to change anything.”

Fans and newspapers have been unimpressed with three draws on the trot against Catania, Sampdoria and BATE Borisov, not to mention their average scoring record of a goal per game.

“We have to keep calm. The team is doing well and we don’t need to change anything. One must always work hard after whatever result.

“If you win, then you keep working to stay at the top. If you don’t win, then you keep working to reach the top. If the Ferrari doesn’t win a race, they don’t fire the whole staff.”

Yet Ranieri’s position is under threat with newspapers suggesting the old guard element of the squad is in favour of a new Coach.

“Do I feel threatened? I don’t read the newspapers, but I did receive a great deal of telephone calls from friends being reassuring, which suggests someone really blasted me…

“No, I do not think I am in the balance. We are doing our best and simply not reaping what we sow. There’s no need to panic.

“This is the way football is in Italy. Cesare Prandelli was torn apart after the great things he has achieved with Fiorentina, the same happened with Luciano Spalletti following three years of miracles at Roma.”

Ranieri has also been dealing with injury worries at Juve, as David Trezeguet, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Nicola Legrottaglie, Jonathan Zebina, Cristiano Zanetti and possibly Giorgio Chiellini and Sebastian Giovinco are out of Sunday’s clash with Palermo.

“I saw Palermo play against Napoli and they were very unlucky, as they took the game to their opponents and lost, but then again that can happen in football.

“The only thing that does worry me at the moment is that I only have two strikers. Iaquinta had a muscular twinge during the second goal against BATE and we preferred to let him rest and recuperate. He’ll also miss the Nazionale.

“Giovinco has nothing other than a slight form of conjunctivitis. He won’t have a problem and will be able to play.”

Amauri will partner Del Piero, one of the so-called ‘senators’ who is alleged to be furious with Ranieri.

“Del Piero is a seasoned player, I don’t think any of this creates problems for him. I make my evaluations based on the good of Juventus.

“I decide the line-up the day before the game, observe their form during training and then choose.”

both speak poor English?
Nice try, although that wasn't exatly what I was aiming for. I think the fact that both are delusional, moronic, idiotic muppets is the main resemblance here. Although you could find a lo more, such as both find reading "Green eggs and Ham" extremely challenging and insightful.

Regardless of what he says, he feels the pressure, he knows he has achieved nothing and we dont have a real reason to tolerate his failures...
He achieved last season's objective, not that that was particularly tough...

Ranieri will limp along for a while yet, but I will be surprised if he is our coach at Xmas.

Our management won't fired Ranieri..
Based on our case last season, there is a lot of news that Secco will be fired
But look until now Secco still with us
Although Secco made mistake with all the transfer and being fined in Criscito transfer

I think Ranieri don't have character like other coach
Mourinho is resigned from Chelsea when there is a transfer not based on his decision (Sheva)
so is Keegan now...
