I am against changing coaches during the season UNLESS THERE IS A MASSIVE CRISIS. It is rare for a team to change coaches during the season and actually win something that particular season.

That is said, in my opinion ever since Lippi left his post in 2004 noone managed to fill in his shoes. Capello came the season after and he was lucky to have a budget none of Juventus coaches in history had to buy players. The period between 2004-2006 was the time when we had A LOT of money. He had big names brought in (whether it was his choice of Moggi's), Cannavaro, Ibrahimovic, Mutu, Emerson and Vieira. The main reason behind all this was to win CL, but he failed be as competitive as people thought he might be although some have argued that we had the best squad in europe for 2 consecutive seasons. Next Came Deschamps. I was not very impressed with the way our game was going (mind you although we have lost a lot of players, we were still playing in Serie B). Our football wasn't entertaining. But we managed to get the job done. Personally, I'd thank Buffon and Del Piero for that. Last season we gave Ranieri the post. He still did not manage to fulfill Lippi's shoes BUT (leaving this season aside) with the players he had at his disposal comparing his results with Capello's I see no differences.
Capello managed to win the scudetto with the best squad in europe.
Ranieri finished 3rd although some may argue he would have finished higher and maybe have won the league if the refs were a bit fair with both Juve and Inter (Juve lost more than 18 points due to obvious controversial calls while inter gained more for the same reason)..

I guess, what I am trying to say is. Although I am not a big fan of Ranieri, lets try to leave Lippi's image on the side while we are comparing coaches.

Ranieri has major flows, some may say his worst is his negative mentality. He hasn't won anything big in his 20+ years in coaching. Lately, the team has been anything but solid. Our midfield is on vacation. I won't blame any of the forwards because they are not getting enough support from the midfield. In the past 2 games the midfield supported the attackers with three chances.
1- Sissoko to Del Piero --> Hit the post
2- Giovinco to Iaquinta --> Goal
3- Giovinco to Iaquinta --> Goal
I think our forwards are going a decent job, they just need the midfield to help them out. I was gainst buying poulsen because what we needed is a creative midfielder (which was supposed to be Tiago's job last season). But since we did not get any let's try to work with what we have till January where i really hope the management can get 1 decent creative midfielder and 1 decent CB. Until that time I think we are better off playing 3-5-2 with a formation close to this one:

------------------------------- Buffon
------- ---Grygera --------- Legro ---- Chiellini
--------------------Sissoko --- Poulsen
---Camoranesi ---- ---------------------De Ceglie
---------------------- Giovinco(Nedved)
---------- Forward ------------- Forward

In our game play, our problem is not in defense nor its in offense. IT IS THE MIDFIELD. We do not control the game. Even during the BATE game we pushed forward because BATE wanted to defend their lead then they understood that they cannot open up the game or we will score so they stayed back. Sampdoria totally owned us. For god sakes Catania gave us a good run on our field. The only two games where our midfield showed some life are the Fiorentina and Udinese games. We can get backt o 4-4-2 when Zanetti returns from injury and is ready and on form.

CR is very good under pressure I can assure you of that.. I strongly believe that Gio will play more and Alex less (unless he get up to speed very soon).

I know Rab and some others will not like that, but that is the only choice for CR and for Juve to do better, as Alex is not performing..
If Giovinco plays more that means Nedved will play less....and that is a good thing.

It has to do with the difference in expectations. The fans want instant success while the management are more interested in building up a new squad. Gigli already said that he plans to develop youngsters so it is unlikely that he will splurge a lot on stars for the next few years. Only the necessary experienced players will be bought and there won't be a lot each season.

but admit it, ranieri is shit, he aint juve material, we have fucking 29 scudetti ffs! hes a nice guy but thats the problem.
CR doesn't have Juve from 3-4 years ago, and admit it, that Juve is long gone.
We have too many players who can't play at same level as 3-4 years ago, 90 mins, every time..

CR is not good under pressure, Lampard. And why didn't you join Inter?
he is good under pressure, why not Inter, cos I never liked them, even I still love Ibrahimovic, and he was main reason why i started to support Juve

I cant find his message but I liked the 3-4-1-2 formation Zaf3000 has posted
I always wanted to see our team trying that formation as it provide us more possession and stability in midfield not to mention we could create more if we have the ball more often

we need 2 great DMs and very good defensive midfield
Poulsen might not become the player of the year but he is very good defensively and Sissoko is a great defensive player as well
Poulsen has good long range passes which could become useful
not sure De Ceglie is the one that should start as we also have Nedved who is more experienced and can attack well as well as defend
as for our CBs Chiellini is surely good enough Legro could be one our 3 starting CBs but I am not quite convinced by Mellberg ability I really think we should be buying someone as he is not good enough

next year there are some certain things
If things stay the way they are we need a great defender and a great midfielder as well as a winger as Nedved probably hanging up his boots

It looks like there was some fireworks at training ground.

Apparently CR was unhappy with players performances, and Alex said that he is not a problem. CR was not happy with that...After Alex left training ground..
I think CR gave them some rubbing, and also i think Alex will be on bench from now on together with Nedved..For me Alex was very selfish in last few games..
We need results and we need them now. So I am for change, and for players to step up.
