I would say what most of us thinks here including Juve revolution, Andy , red etc..

We all agree that Jose is great coach and everyone would love to have him
regardless of his big mouth.

We don't have enough money even to buy decent, players and we want Jose, i would think that players should come first?

I still don't think he would do better with todays Juve as it is, but with inter where funds are almost unlimited , he would keep winning for sure.

But also we would say bye bye to our young players and some old ones including DP.

Do we want that?
Why the hell do people think that Mourinho's success is based on the transfer budget of the team? What fkn money did Porto EVER have when they won the UEFA Cup and CL?And on what basis are you saying that he will remove all our youngsters from the team? A lot of ppl may not know this, but Mourinho was AGAINST the signing of Ballack and Shevchenko, it was Abramovich that wanted those 2 at Chelsea!

You can't slag Ranieri off when we do badly and then not give him some praise when we do well.
on the contrary, I was supportive of getting Ranieri from before the start of the season...I'm simply saying that his tactics have remained more or less the same, but it has been the performances of Camo and Ale thast have really lifted the team

Yes we can. If we can afford 25 million for players who sit on our bench, we can afford his wages..
He earns higher wages than almost all of our players, I think he earns 4M or so. I don't think I have heard of a single team that has its coach earning more than its players. Another sign of our financial shortcomings.

Mourinho uses his youth talents. Remember Carlos Alberto at Porto? I'm not sure how you've come to this conclusion as it doesn't make sense. .
Well, because when he was at Chelsea, he had .... let's see.... 0 youth players.

All of his players were well over 25 and/or have already established themselves at their former clubs. Carlose Alberto is a different case altogether, Mourinho was at Porto then and he wasn't the big shot he his now. He had to settle for youth players because he didn't have the luxury of buying proven stars.

He wouldn't necessarily want the same players he had at Chelsea, but he would want someone such as Carvalho. What's wrong with that player?

And even if we don't have the money for a Carvalho, that doesn't mean Mourinho wouldn't want to manage Juventus. So I'm not really buying into any of your arguments.

Nothing is wrong with that. On the contrary, I have no problem with decent talent coming into Juve but chances are, he wants his former players back. If we can't give him players that already understand his tactics and his way of coaching, that would make his job a lot more difficult. Maybe he'll join us regardless but it won't be as smooth as most of you make it seem.

Maybe my points are exaggerated, but I do firmly believe that getting Mourinho is a long shot. Especially now, some people have said that we are a rich club. I hope they know they are talking about the same side that nearly went bankrupt last year.

After coming up from serie B, it has more or less been a recovery process which the club needs to deal with step by step. It's still our first season back, don't expect us to sign coaches like Mourinho or players like Ronaldinho or Messi.

I see Ranieri in charge for another season. He has completed our season objectives and I don't think Juve can justifiably fire Ranieri after he has done exactly what they have asked of him. I don't expect a new coach anytime soon.

Ranieri shrugs off Euro goal
Saturday 26 April, 2008

Juventus look set to mathematically clinch their Champions League spot this Sunday, but Claudio Ranieri sees no need to celebrate. “We only mark titles here.”

It is quite an achievement for the club that spent last season in Serie B and lost many of its stars in the Calciopoli scandal, especially as they are still in the running for second place.

“What will we do to celebrate? Nothing, because what we have done is notable and the sign of the winners’ DNA we still possess, but to reach the targets I have set there is a long way to go,” said the Coach.

“Considering what I want from myself and the team, to celebrate here would be excessive. It’s not that we shouldn’t be happy, but there is no need for a party either. It’s Juventus, we only mark titles here.”

The three points against Lazio would secure their place in the top four, leaving behind Milan and Sampdoria.

“We are focused on beating Lazio and that will not be an easy game. They paid a heavy price for injuries at the start of the season and once they went out of the Champions League found their pace. We got an important win in Rome with two fantastic Ale Del Piero goals from two equally brilliant Cristiano Zanetti assists.”

Ranieri is looking to the future, as entry into the Champions League does mean extra cash to reinforce the squad.

“We always said we’d more or less have two players per position. That is what we did last year and plan to do so again. We already have some stars with experience at this level and hope they can bring the others up with them.”

One man who is definitely sticking with Juve is Mauro German Camoranesi, the Argentine who won the World Cup with Italy and has recently been experimenting a central midfield role for the Bianconeri.

“It is a possible solution for the future and he can improve there,” continued Ranieri.

“Juve are starting to realise how well they are doing. I don’t want to single out just one figure, but in the first half of the season I said we were missing Camoranesi and that was because we needed somebody who could take on opponents.”

Momo Sissoko and Giorgio Chiellini are back in the squad after missing the 4-0 hammering of Atalanta through injury, so the only absentees are Vincenzo Iaquinta and Jorge Andrade.

Juventus squad: Buffon, Birindelli, Chiellini, Zebina, Zanetti, Salihamidzic, Camoranesi, Del Piero, Nedved, Belardi, Trezeguet, Palladino, Grygera, Sissoko, Nocerino, Stendardo, Molinaro, Tiago, Marchionni, Legrottaglie.

I'm still neutral when it comes to Ranieri, I have no hate or love for the guy.

I think he has done well thus far and despite making a number of amatuer mistakes at the start of the season, he seems more professional and self-confident.

I still have my doubts about him but I don't think there's a good reason to bash the guy after what he's done this year.

Spot on.

It's true he did lot of amateurs mistakes this season, but we shouldn't forget that this was predictable....he has taken over a team that was already broken apart. A team that needs sometime to adapt and adjust into a system. New players playing alongside each others into lot of pressure on them representing Juventus.

The bashing that Ranieri has received at times was unjustified and not right IMO. I criticized lot of his subs mistake, formations etc..... but some people were going on top of the hill, blaming him for every single thing.

At last, lets not forget that we didn't loose to any big side this season, we've given them all a good lesson that we're back and we've already secured champions league spot.

Had it not been for the refs and had we concentrated a bit more against the smaller clubs, our players would be celebrating by now the scud.

Ranieri's "extraordinary" Juve

Cladio Ranieri has taken Juventus into the Champions League in an “extraordinary” season, but Lazio’s Delio Rossi is furious with his team.

Today’s 5-2 victory in Turin secured a spot in the preliminary round of European club football’s most prestigious competition next season.

I must thank everyone who works here for all they have done this season,” said the Coach of the newly promoted side.

To be third with three rounds to go is an extraordinary result. I must compliment the youngest players too, as they immediately picked up the winning mentality.

This squad has followed my suggestions from the very first day of pre-season training and you have seen that spirit throughout the campaign.”

Alessandro Del Piero was on target again in the 5-2 win, as was current Capocannoniere David Trezeguet.

We did a great deal in the first half and rather took our foot off the gas in the second, perhaps because our advantage seemed reassuringly solid. It was important to win today and we did with a positive performance.”

Lazio boss Rossi had warned his side not to be complacent ahead of this match, but his fears were realised.

Right from the start there was a blackout. It’s inexplicable. It’s no shame to lose to Juventus in Turin, but not like this.”

The Biancocelesti have nothing left to play for in Serie A, so they preserved energy for the Coppa Italia semi-final with Inter.

There is no justification and this whole approach is wrong. Lazio cannot embarrass themselves this way.

“If I see performances like this then I think nobody at Lazio deserves to stay next season.

, but it has been the performances of Camo and Ale thast have really lifted the team
do you think alex and camo would be in the form they are, if there was a different training ?

ranieri really might be responsible for the good form of the two and you can't blame ranieri, when his tactics would not earn points without in-shape players

show me the manager that earns points with a team that is not in shape and where the best players just arent doing well ...

I have to say, I have the impression that Ranieri's decisions and our play have improved immensly these last two months.
agreed

he's said enough dumb things this year, so anything positive will sound brilliant now
