Ranieri is not such a bad choice. Didi is gone because we have a club run by a board of retards, but we've had to put up with that for a while now. I like Ranieri, he's genuine, he's italian and i think, like Didi in the beginning, he genuinely is happy to be on the Juventus bench. He laid the foundations for successful teams at Valencia and at Chelsea, performed a mircale at Parma, and it seems he can spot a player in the market. He has the support of Gigi and if he stays Ranieri has done us a favour right there. He knows the value of youth and is easy to get on with. Ok, hes not world class, but of all the possible names after the Didi disaster, other than lippi (who we have to eventually get over) i think Ranieri was the best one. I would like to give him a chance.
My only worry is, however, that the board have signed him because they see him as a puppet. Secco and Gigli and Blanc may now think they decide the players that come in and tell Ranieri what to do. I just hope the board have the right intentions for once, and Ranieri is capable of forcing his own decisions on this team.

what on earth are you talking about?? for the first years ranieri was in chelsea he had virtually NO money, the club was in a serious amount of debt and was almost into administration, then when abramovic took them over he was looking at ranieri replacements in september!!! yes ranieri had the chance to create a squad and the chelsea we see today is due to RANIERI! you cant expect 10 players to settle in immediately and bring instant success thats just pure insanity, but he finished 2nd behind an UNSTOPPABLE arsenal team that went 49 league games unbeaten, which money cannot buy! let alone he made it to the semi's of the cl (a fete which mourinho has only matched) and was very unlucky to not make it to the final. his tenure was cut short becuse he did not fit in line with abramovic, ranieri would have won the next year no doubt.

someone who is given a 3 year contract is not here to stall time.

ranieri plays a very attacking and flowing football style, chelsea and valencia under him played some beautiful football and he likes the beautiful style of play, he'll give us a better style than we've had in the last 4 years.

i understand your concerns, i really really do but i think you need to give the guy a chance, sure you can have your doubts, but let him put his stamp on the team and then see how you view it, we aint going to win the title next year but im fully confident he can get us into the CL

Valid point, i ve used that myself against Mourinho in this very forum,
but can u pls help me, trying to explain, to the "world" that???
Can u convince any other man it wasnt only Mourinho's magic that did the work and won the title? I tried but they wont listen,
point is that results talk and Ranieri failed ever since, this cant be due to bad luck only...

They believe a good coach and the right players could do the trick.
As far as i concerned we r not buying the right players simply because... WE CANT...
i personally under-rate almighty coaches's role at team's results,
but for those who r always hurry to blame or praise the coach for every defeat or victory,
the coach has a very very important role in the team and that would mean that even the last tactical detail could do the difference and bring the team in advantage or vice versa, there were teams with inferior material that could much top teams performances,
this is a real coaching job!! not owning lower teams with the best material, Ranieri never convinced me there yet, we will see how our team will do against superior teams this year, (i sure hope u r right for the record but...)



DD was also given a 2 year contract, but what does this mean?
we offered a 2 year contract, Ranieri asked a longer one
and we did what it takes to ensure his signature,
our managers trusted Ranieri just because the lack of real options
and because of the lack of time.
I also hve reasons to believe the got him because he is more easily manipulated,
considering his current condition, we r THE step forward right now,
we have him and he knows that, compromises have been made from both sides.

I don't think the board wanted someone to manipulate... I just don't think they had any faith in Deschamps (Boumsong probably didn't help this). Ranieri would not come to Juventus to be a puppet when he could have gone to Man City for twice the money and had free reign.

Secco and Co. took over because they didn't think DD was competent. Rightly or Wrongly. I think Secco probably had a long face because he was enjoying his brief period of control.

Also ranieri is a much better manager than DD, and also DD had never won a league title, so all in all we've done well out of this.

and not to mention in 6 months at parma he allowed giuseppe rossi to flourish, so just relax people, let ranieri do his work, and we can judge him when the season gets underway.

and we will definately finish in the top 4 with a few signings, i cant believe some of the views that are being thrown about the place, i can even see roma slumping next season, fiorentina are good but they dont exactly have many class individuals and lazio are exactly the same, infact our team is FAR superior to lazio's in every department

You calling Lippi a disgrace is very foolish. The reason he could not come in the summer is because of his son's trouble with Calciolpoli scandal and his ocurt hearings. Lippi wants to stand by him and support him till it is over and would not accept a job until it is finished. I think this is the opposite of disgrace because somethings are more important than football and being a father, no matter what age, is one of them.

Lippi has done so much for us and Italy. We should not be so quick to forget and plunge the knives into one of our own. Who knows he may be back sometime in the future but if he does or doesn't he should always have our support.

You're right, he's great. Always liked him.

He was in the Channel 5 studio (british tv channel) when we faced Reggina at the end of our 05/06 scudetto winning campaign and he made lots of funny comments, even one derogatory one aimed at Morratti

He seemed very pro-Juve at the time!

What is indeed true, is that he is more exprecienced than Didier, and even when we loved him as a player, the Seriea can turn very ugly to him.

Ranieri is not the best choice of all, but afterr all, we didnt have much options.

We can just blindly believe in the experience this man has, and in what the board is doing.

In one thing i agree with the board, is that, deep inisde i knew Didier was just not experienced enough.

I can't understand the pesimism for Ranieri. If we compare resumes well, DD did achieve a CL final. But Ranieri is not at all incopetant he has much more experience although not a winner. He employs a balanced football style, I don't think its the most attractive, but it is an open footballing style.

I think based on his comments, it is this stlye that is the first goal. He and our board intends on achieving the easier goal first, which is to win back many of the Italian fans, to be the most supported team in Italy by employing an enjoyable footballing style to add to the deep history and tradition of the club which intertwines with Italies beloved Fiat.

This isn't a bad idea, IMO. We might not go immediately for the prizes but first we rebuild the Juve brand, we are the "OLD LADY" but NOW we don't play football like OLD LADIES. We'll run around out there and play to win AND entertain.

I think the whole project is to transform Juve into a more commercial brand, a brand that many will support despite instant tittle success or not. The question you might wan't to ask yourselves is

WILL YOU BE SATISFIED WITH AN ENTERTAINING LOSS?

It's not ideal. I personally would have rather seen what DD could have done with another couple of years under his belt at the helm of Juventus to see what we could do in Serie A and to develop some of our younger players. But I'll take Ranieri.

to be honest i think ranieri is going to do a great great job with juventus. not just with building the team but with how we also play. i think we def need to give him his chance guys we just cant say "oh he has'nt won a ingle competition in his life" and lets get rid of him. i honestly dont understand why people here cant wait till he gets his chance its just like dd no body waitied on him we were demanding all the bloody time with offcourse lippi always being on our minds. i am really happy lippi turned us down bec for the love of god lets get over him he is done with juventus. he has won everything there is to win with juventus there is nothing more he could add to us. lets give others a chance and see what raniri has to offer to us.
