There will be a lot of clubs lining up for Ranieri. However, they will all be provincial sides with mid-table aspirations, and Ranieri is very good at delivering such dreams. Not a Scudetto winner, though.

I just read a quote from Ranieri...
“The last two games’ outcome were already written and anyone would have won them.”

I can understand that he is hurt, by his dismissal...I can also understand that he is legally aggravated by the lack of his bonus for champions league qualification, but there was a chance, we would not qualify for the champions league if our abysmal form continued for the last two games of the season.

However, these comments, are disrespectful to both the players and Ciro and they make Ranieri look like a bitter child, not a man of honour and respect.

And I strongly dissagree...Our form, prior to the last two games of the season had been the worst I can ever remember for a 7 game run. There was no guarantee whatsoever that we would win the last two games, as convincingly and with such gusto, as we did. And I highly doubt that would have happened, had Ranieri remained at the helm.

I have always held the opinion that he is not a great manager but he is a decent man, but these comments have changed that...I now hope we battle him in court and he gets nothing.

The players, and Ciro grabbed us second spot, not Ranieri. And without a coach we could have got to the position we were in before he was given the chop.

and what about the rest of the points we got in the season? Ranieri had nothing to do with that? OK it turned out badly in the end, but don't take away the credit that the guy does deserve

I don't see how you can claim you'll win the last two games when you've failed to win in 7 straight games, including such powerhouses as Reggina.

And to think he seemed such a friendly, funny guy when I met him a couple of weeks ago (day before the Inter game, so he was already under fire back then).
Signing autographs for the kids, taking the time to talk to everyone, posing for pictures etc.

He has probably realised he messed up everything and, very quickly, became a complete asshole.

I really think you guys are reading too much into his statement...you know how the media twists one's words
That's a possibility, i know. The media might have twisted his words.
But it's also a possibility that these are his exact words (i'll look for this in Italian) and that he really said: "“The last two games’ outcome were already written and anyone would have won them.”

Now, if he said it, what did he mean by this?

1. We played against teams that didn't need any points at all and by "the outcome was already written" he means exactly this: it was easy to win against teams that played without any motivation, for nothing.

- This would have been logical if it wasn't for the Juve-Atalanta match just before he was fired. Atalanta also didn't need any points and yet we didn't beat them.
What was Ranieri going to say if he was fired after the Milan match? Was he going to say that the outcome of the last three games has already been written and anyone would have won against Atalanta, Siena and Lazio?

2. He's hitting at our Calciopoli history and implies that the matches were fixed Juve to win.

- Well, i certainly hope he's not implying this. If the matches were fixed then we weren't going to sack our coach anyway.

I don't think Ranieri is that cynical (if he was hinting at option number 2)...let's see, we have to watch this space...Ranieri will always have something weird to say
