No need to exaggerate, Marchisio may not pushing us forward as Pirlo and vidal do, but he is not holding us back either.
He serves and creates no issues, he has adapted in a large numbers or roles and tactics.
He can be usefull, even as a squad player, even if he would lose his starting place, lets say to Pogba, we would still need one CM of the same caliber to rotate with them, as 3 players for 3 positions in a team that competes in three competitions is def not enough.
So we have ne reason to sell him really, not to seek a replacement. The talk has started from his renewan talks, when he demanded to be considered a starter (above Pogba) and prolly get a better salary.
And now on the NT department, which is full of anti-Juvnetini that thrive on every talk that would destabilize us.
In both camps, the pressure applies mostly on the very high expectations everyone has on Marchisio mostly and not much upon poor performances.
Yes Marchisio is not smth extraordinary, but it is not easy to find anyone consistently better than him either.
There is an abundance of talent in CMs in Italy, apart from De Rossi and Pirlo there are a lot of players pressing for place.
Not neccesarily better than Marchisio, but maybe in a better form.
Marhisio has not reached the status to be untouchable and so there is a pressure on him, so that he will keep performing, or benched.
For the NT, it is not a problem to keep on the bench a load of Montolivos, diamantis and aquilani, just in case one of them happens to be in a great form and be bale to perform slightly better, in a match day, than Marchisio.
For Juventus though things are different, we already have a bg ammount of back up CMs and with Pogba laready pressing the starters, there certaintly is no need to extra pressure.
It would only make sense, if were convinced that we can have an option that is better to Marhcisio in permanent basis.
But is this true about Diamanti? I really doubt so...
