tbh marchisio was clearly better in the first part of 2011/12, and kept scoring vital goals in 2012.
this season he had a few excellent games aswel, mostly solid, but vidal became better

28year old hernanes isnt worth the investment, as lazio would ask over 20 mil for him.

If he was 20-22 and this good, it would be diffrent
Nedved came when he was 29 right? You can't compare of course but it's still at a good age for a few years of good performances.

Yes, only the first half of 2011/2012 was Marchisio on par, not better, than Vidal. Since then he has fallen by the wayside.

Deluding oneself into thinking he's tactically a genius won't change the reality of him simply being a solid player, but not untouchable. Players like Vidal are untouchable at this point. When Vidal doesn't play you can see the difference in the teams general performance. When Marchisio doesn't, not so much.

I like having him in the team, but if a good offer comes through, then adios, particularly if it means raising funds for a top striker.

Marchisio is definitely not untouchable. But I'd keep him in the team, unless he's the only thing keeping us from a top striker, and honestly, he shouldn't be. I'd rather sell two of our current forwards than marchisio. He's a big part of the reason our midfield is one if the very best. And it's not always about having the best players in a team, but rather having the best combination of players. marchisio fits well here, and him leaving would definitely leave a void in the team

claiming objectivity while maintaining marchisio didnt have a subpar season, rich. Melo ran his mouth because he was chased out of town when he had the better season than marchisio, so he kinda has an excuse. Like i said the main reason marchisio is liked is becuase of his juventino status, so of course he is held at a higher standard when it comes to running his mouth.
Hey, don't blame me about lacking objectivity. I'm merely going by the opinion of this very forum, who awarded Marchisio more MOM's in the first half of the season than any other Juve player.

But it's ok. Disliking Marchisio is cool again. Since we can't really bitch about results anymore, our attention needs to be focused elsewhere: the bandiera :)D) people love to hate & the so very incompetent Marotta.

I don't know why you lot are laughing, it's debatable.
I think I'd agree with it. But people are quick to forget.

You are only as good as your last half of the season really. Every summer it's the same thing though. Can't wait for it to be August already. (I really want to see how Llorente fits into the team :p)

Very true. I don't really understand why that is.

Fun fact: before the winter break, we had a mom poll for 21 games. Marchisio was among the nominees 9 times. Which, I didn't check, probably is among the most of the entire team.
After the winter break, there was a poll for 23 games. He was nominated only 6 times.

That does make you wonder whether he had a subpar season or a subpar few months :D
