He should actually take alook at Vidal and Pogba interviews about how they're happy here instead of running his mouth of like a little kid. Very dissapointed by Marchisio. Not behaviour you'd expect from a so called future captain. If he wants more money and wants to go, he should fuck off.
Why am I so convinced that you're not actually aware of what was really said? :D

Would hate to see him leave. But if for a reasonable fee to help fund the right transfers then hell, I'm in.

Sacrifice the cow. Get that money.

Bad move, terrible move if we sell him. Will bite us in the ass in a couple of years when Pogba and Vidal are no more affordable to us in terms of wages. And selling him without any guarantees that we have an agreement with at least one striker will be stupid. I'd be ok selling Marchisio if we use the money to purchase Tevez + one of Higuain / Jovetic. Otherwise no.
In couple of years we''ll be among top 5 in terms of revenues imo. We're Juventus not some mediocre club who are not able to pay wages for our top stars. We'll always be able to afford these types of players.

Actually you need to be looking at this the other way round. He is a Juve boy out and out, and when there's talk of Vidal or Pogba being enquirer about on the market, Marrotta is clear in saying they are unsellable. When it comes to Marchisio, he says the will of the boy is decisive. What the fuck does that even mean? The boy is born and bred black and white. If that is the attitude the club is going to show to a player that would happily retire in these colors, then it's bound to be provocative. It one thing that hes asking for a wage increase which is debatable when linked to performance, but to say that hes doing this for more money, is just wrong because he's not the one who brought up any of those issues till that interview about his will. Even though in his head he can see that his peers are getting doubled salaries and he's not, he is out and out Juventino and would not leave for wages. I can totally see his point of view here.

And nor is it a good long term plan to sell him either, because one of Pogba and Vidal are going to inevitably leave when their salary demands rocket, as do the bids coming in for them with the lure of a stronger league and an arguably more illustrious team. At that point in time, you're going to have to fall back on one of your own.

He's feeling insecure. Bad move from him. He can show his value on the pitch and not bitching in media when things don't go his way.

People not liking marchisio's quotes ?

How about del piero threatening to move to manchester united cause he wasent getting a rise in early 2000's ?
Oh, forgot about it ? How convenient

Actually for the future it could be a sensible move. Sell him for 30-35 million, then sign Verratti for 25 million.

Line up like this: Pogba-Verratti-Vidal

Young, dynamic and insanely talented.
Its 3 years to soon to field such formations. If we'd do, expect to be torn to pieces by well organised teams.

He feels threatened by Pogba no doubt and also because Vidal is going to sign a new and improved contract.
We value him less because he didn't cost us anything to acquire. Just like Llorente. And it's a huge mistake to think of it that way. Marchisio or any player coming through the youth of the team they eventually play for, value their presence at the club and would eyes closed see out their career there. If this team god forbid went through some more shit, the likes of Pogba will be the first to leave. Marchsio's value will be known and understood at a time like that.

It's not insecurity. It's actually disappointment, that when it comes to his name, Marrotta says its about his will, while Vidal and Pogba are immediately considered unsellable. It's a very provocative thing to say. And this is directly related to players who play in the same area on the pitch. Havi spent two seasons under Conte, Marchisio knows nobody is guaranteed a starting spot. He'd be more than happy to play for his if he isn't made to feel like an extra. There's a difference between feeling like a substitute and an extra.

So we are planning for disaster? Lets keep mediocre players bc they cant demand high salaries, and no other clubs will even be interested in them. Sounds like a top club mentality...

Whatever the reason is he could have arranged a meeting with management and discuss it there. No reason to give media who are always on our back some more material.

The club could've done the same. Given that Marrotta gave e interview first.

Last time I checked, Monaco and United were apparently bidding between 25-30m for his services. That's got to be the most expensive mediocre player on the planet.

Marotta said Marchisio is not for sale couple of weeks ago. That should have been enough for him. If he wanted further clarification of his future as I said there were better ways to do it.
